"We previously had Top Gun Attic Pros replace the fiberglass insulation in our house attic. The work was incredible, the product was perfect and they were great people to work with. We were so impressed that we told our contractor that we would select our own spray foam installers (of course it was Top Gun Attic Pros) for the barn we were building. Once again John and Top Gun exceeded our expectations. One thing I didn't mention was that their pricing was VERY competitive, but I would have paid a premium for their quality of work."
"Omar and team did great work. Old insulation was removed and ceiling penetrations sealed on the first day with the new insulation installed on the second day. Omar was onsite the entire time and actually did the new insulation install. I was pleased with the quality of work and recommend."
"My experience with Energy Attic USA went really well. They were very good price wise. They did a good job and they’re the only company that I find that would do a reading and barrier that actually use a metallic foil reading barrier that they would put in instead of spray. That’s what I wanted. It’s supposed to be much better. It’s all under insulation."
"Fort Worth house was FANTASTIC! Our house was an extremely tough job on an excessively scorching hot day. They did a beautiful job. I did have to have them come back and blow insulation where the crawl space to the other half of the house is located. It was understandable to have assumed we wanted it clear of insulation. Since we rarely go up in the attic, it was okay to fill the crawl space with "the pink stuff." They came the next day or so after I called. No hassles, no complaining, no trying to charge me extra for having to come back. They were wonderful! I've recommended them to some neighbors and friends."
"Lance came out and gave me a bid for adding insulation in my attic along with a solar attic fan. I was very pleased with the whole process from the initial bid to the final product. We are waiting on better weather to add the attic solar fan. I could not be more pleased with Lance and his company employees. I will only recommend this company to others in the future. It's always a pleasure to deal with courteous and professional contractors "
"Rueben and his teammate were professional and conscious of my needs and assured me I will reap benefits from now having a total of 18 inches of insulation. They too before and after pics and emailed to me for my records."
"Stuart is very knowledge about HVAC units and tries to repair versus replacement. Extraordinary customer relations.
Also scheduled adding new insulation. His work is reliable. We had a few hiccups on the timeline of getting replacement unit installed due to call load. We plan to use him for normal maintenance going forward. "
"nstall against the roof. The crew was great, they explained what they were doing, and even managed to install in the narrow space of the cathedral ceiling, which I was concerned about. They even cleaned up fallen insulation from the attic stair steps that was on the carpet, expected some, after all, they had to go up and down to get and install more roof the barrier. They did recommend more blown in insulation, I imagine some got trampled on doing the install "
"My husband had bought a Heating/Cooling System back in 08 from the company and every year since 2010 we had a issue with it. It was a Carrier system which at the time was top of the line and highly recommended. This year in October it wasn't worth fixing so we got a new quote for a new system from them and 2 other companies. Price wise they were cheaper then other companies we looked into for the system we got. They came the next morning after we said yes to put the system in. The workers showed up late. Then once the system was in and they turned it on, they apparently didn't do a good job of making sure insulation wasn't in the system because all vents had insulation in them and I had to clean up every room of the house. Not happy about having to clean up their mess. Also our house was built in 95 and the bathroom fan does not go out to the roof it only goes into the attic. The fan is now under a board that has to stay there to have the system pass inspection. Not happy about the fact that they didn't pay attention to what was below them when working and covered it up. But they did come out and make sure the fan worked at a later date and had offered to replace it if it was burnt out due to their work. Luckily it was not burnt out just dirty which caused it some issues. "
Upgrading insulation offers several benefits, including improved energy efficiency, which leads to lower heating and cooling costs. It also enhances indoor comfort by regulating temperature and can provide noise reduction. Additionally, better insulation has a reduced environmental impact and can increase your home's value and overall livability.
Durable materials suited for climate include aluminum for coastal areas or composite wood in varying environments for durability and minimal upkeep.
Closed-cell spray foam insulation itself serves as a vapor barrier (or vapor retarder). However, you may need to install a vapor barrier if you have open-cell spray foam insulation. When in doubt, work with a professional insulation contractor, as they can provide more detail about the specific needs of your home in your climate.
Fiberglass is considered a favorite garage insulation choice due to its combination of affordability, ease of installation, and overall effectiveness. Fiberglass provides good thermal resistance, helping regulate garage temperatures and minimize heat transfer. Additionally, fiberglass is moisture-resistant, reducing the risk of mold or mildew formation.
Yes, you should add an insulative cover to outdoor water spigots in the winter for better protection against freezing. Make sure to use waterproof insulating material—something like a towel or old shirt can actually make the faucet more prone to freezing when the material soaks up rain or snow.
