"Wow! What an amazing experience from start to finish! Everyone from FSS showed up when they said they would, were very knowledgeable, and communicated everything very carefully and honestly. There was no discrepancy between what the estimator (Ryan) promised and what the leveling crew (David, Christian, and Blake) said they could do (and what they did) to re-level my concrete pad. I’m very happy with the results and the entire experience. After dealing with other companies and various contractors for many years, this was a refreshing experience! Highly recommend!"

"There was rain delays, but they doubled up and did a great job. Despit bushs and concrete in the way, they dug holes fast and leveled the house without incident. The teams are very skilled in what they do. Accurate staff was easy to work with."

"Ivan and his crew were very professional. The house was leveled, the doors were square again and the wall cracks were nearly completely closed. They cleaned up the site very well. The concrete patch work is OK, but not great, it could have been better. Overall, I am very satisfied."

"The followup visit went great. The technician was very professional and courteous. The warranty they have is excellent, and they will do whatever needs be done to get a house leveled out. In my case, our house continued to settle after they had done some work, and they are out to followup and to determine what additional leveling needs to be done to get the foundation level. I've used this company for several years now and have been very pleased with their sincerity, professionalism, and perseverance in getting things done right and in a timely manner."

"04-02-2025: Olshan was very expert from the beginning to completion. Including initial evaluation, navigating choices, quoting, scheduling, implementation, post measurement & cleanup. Tunneling is chosen over concrete break out in the living spaces: this choice worked out well with these considerations: no upset / moving (or move out), no storage rental, customer time & labor needed. For this 1977 3-2-2, discovery is made in both the sewer & water lines: the 50 YO cast iron pipes failed a pressure test & tunneling reveals pinholes in the hot & cold water lines. Partnered w/ Olshan was KMP Plumbing, all of which were successful in leveling the foundation, replacing sewer & water lines. An Extra Special notice & thanks to Olshan's Derek Long & team lead Hernandez. Also noticed & very much appreciated for their diligence & second efforts by Rogel, Misael, Juan, Alvaro, Nelson, Eduardo & Jose."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.

A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. Consult a foundation repair pro to determine the best way to lift your sinking foundation.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The exact time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it must fully harden to ensure that added weight from walking, furniture, or vehicles won't shift the concrete slab. A professional contractor can advise you on when the surface is safe to use. For comparison, if you use polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can dry in just a few minutes, but it's best to wait about an hour before use.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.
