"These guys did a great job. The tiles in my kitchen had popped up, but I had 18 extra tiles to use. The tile guys were able to save all the unbroken tiles so I still have 15 of my extra tiles left for the next time. They did a great job."
"Carlos and his crew were amazing! He was very professional and knowledgeable on what we wanted to have done. We had our kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, baseboards, doors/trim, crown moulding and some walls/ceilings painted along with staining out stair rails. He even fixed one of our floorboards that was pushing against a baseboard and installed a new attic door for us. We also had some outlets installed as well. He did an excellent job with everything and gave a fair price. He paid very close attention to detail and had no issues answering any questions we had. Very prompt responses and was always on time. He finished very quickly as well. AMAZING WORK!! WOULD RECOMMEND!!!"
"Actually it went well. The remodel took 8 weeks & Eric has a very good crew. All the different workers knew what needed to be done. The kitchen cabinets are gorgeous, the quartz counters & backsplash are beautiful & the tile floor is light gray & perfect. I sent my friend a picture & she said it was fancy."

"Had my plumber come to install a new sink and didnâ t fit and needed the counter top to be trimmed. John responded quickly and came out the next morning and got it done quickly. Was very professional and would recommend him for anything counter top related"
"I was looking for a local, highly rated bathroom remodeler, who would do a quality job at a fair price. I researched various businesses online, and got quotes from a few. I looked at lots of online pics and Pinterest, looking for ideas, as well. I chose EZBath because I liked Mitchell's professionalism, his detailed quote, and his assistance in realizing my vision. Also very important to my decision were their excellent reviews. There's a big difference between a 4.1 and a 4.9, IMO. My design was very different, and I became very particular when I realized I didn't want the tile to just be random. Then, the installer Danny Shattuck, helped me realize that where the grout lines were, where they started, how things lined up with the window, and how the grout lines and different grout colors from two different tiles might mesh together. Danny was timely, friendly, creative, and a very hard worker. And he can do almost anything. I ended up using him for other repairs around the house after the remodel project, and I'm sure I will use him again (and I've referred him to neighbors; Danny Shattuck, Handy Dan Services, 346-368-3681). I love my new porcelain wood flooring, that goes right into the shower. It's the most luxurious shower I've ever owned or been in, and I love it. I look forward to remodeling my guest bathroom next year with them. I attached a few pics, keep in mind that these taken with my cell phone and with natural light, not the new LED, on the room shot."
"Using Angie's List, we secured several bids from highly-rated local contractors to complete a few remodel projects in our home. We wanted to replace the backsplash in our kitchen, breakfast area and butler's pantry, change out almost every light fixture in the home and build custom cabinets to increase storage in the mudroom. First met Jim Godre with Remodel Specialists when he came out to look at the work we wanted done. He arrived at the scheduled time and listened intently as we walked him through the list of items we wanted to complete. As promised, we received a detailed estimate from Jim with separate itemized totals for each part of the project . After reviewing all of the bids we received, we made the decision to hire Remodel Specialists to complete the work. From the initial consult, Jim Godre and his entire team were very professional in every aspect of the project. From the first day the work commenced, all the way through to the completion of the project, we received daily email communication from Remodel Specialists informing us of who was coming to the house that day and what item(s) of the project was being worked on. Every Remodel Specialists' employee we came in contact with was very respectful of our home and went out of their way to ensure the work area was cleaned up at the end of the day. They even went above and beyond to bring scaffolding back out to the home to lower a new chandelier that was installed too high. (Thank you Trevor!) Finally, we had custom cabinets built in the mudroom to provide additional storage. Remodel Specialists' cabinet maker, Andy, is a true craftsman. In constructing the new cabinets for the mudroom, Andy perfectly matched the cabinet style and color in the adjoining laundry room. We were in awe at how great the cabinets look and how functional the space is today. (Thank you Andy!) Based on our experience, we know we made the right decision to engage Remodel Specialists to complete the work in our home. We will not hesitate to conduct Jim Godre and Remodel Specialists to perform any additional projects in our home. Thank you Jim - and your team - for exceeding our expectations!"
"Eve is an artist! I extend the highest of recommendations for this company. Everything, I mean EVERYTHING, was done so professionally. The quote was very reasonable and his work greatly exceeded my expectations. He reinstalled our appliances and installed a new sink and faucet for us. Everything was done on time and cleaned up impeccably. All countertops and backsplashes were created for me on site. My new kitchen is beautiful. The workmanship is stunning. I am extremely pleased. Please do not use anyone else for your laminate custom creation/installation. I recommend the bull nose edge; Eve makes them by hand and my countertops look like granite tops with rounded edges."
"Zach and his team did a great job remodeling two bathrooms. In only 3 days they were able to demo old tile, cabinets, countertops, tubs and mirrors; install new tubs and toilets, lay new tile for floors and shower surrounds, install new countertops and faucets, install new mirrors and move wiring for new light fixtures. They came when they said they would, worked very efficiently and even cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely use Tell Projects again and have already given their contact information to a friend."
Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts
There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.
How long painted tiles last ultimately comes down to the quality of the paint job and how much wear and tear the tiles get. It’s possible the paint job will only last about six months if the tiles are in a high-traffic area and they weren’t properly cleaned, sanded, and primed prior to painting and sealing. Well-painted tiles in a low-traffic area should last at least a year.
Glazed ceramic tiles don’t need to be sealed because the glazing already offers some protection against moisture. Unglazed ceramic tiles need to be sealed to keep the porous tile safe from moisture and staining. However, both types of tile can benefit from sealing. Sealant can make the tiles easier to keep clean and offer more resistance to water, spills, and stains.
You have creative freedom when it comes to your tile trim. If, however, you are considering skipping tile trim, please think twice about that. It is good practice to install tile trim, whether on walls or flooring. Think, too, about the aesthetic you are going for and choose a trim type and color that will help enhance the space.
Yes, unfortunately, it is normal for wall and floor tiles to crack, especially when you drop heavy items on tiled floors or place heavy objects on them. Tiles are also more susceptible to cracking when ceramic tiles designed for walls are installed on floors, as these are often not strong enough to handle heavy loads from foot traffic and furniture. Similarly, tiles that are installed incorrectly, lack adequate subflooring, or have other installation problems are prone to cracking. To avoid these problems and the inevitable repair and replacement costs they bring, always hire a professional for tile work and follow best practices for installation.
