"Cathy at Fortress is amazing. Their customer service is unmatched. We had 6 companies come out and look at our house. Several had different reports of how many piers we needed. We hired an engineer and found out we needed 28 new piers and 14 existing piers that needed to be adjusted. Cathy came and explained what was needed, what was happening with our foundation and how they would go about repairing it and answered all of our questions. She was friendly, thorough, and honest. I reached out many times before the work was scheduled and asked many more follow up questions and she would respond promptly. What sets them apart from all the other foundation companies in the area: Excellent customer service and communication Lifetime warranty that stays with the house and not the owner which would involve transfer fees While they didn't adjust our existing piers done by another company (it was determined that it was not possible/not necessarily needed at this time), if they had, they would have taken over and included those in the lifetime warranty - this was a huge perk which no one else does that we were able to find. We wanted to make sure we don't have future foundation problems, so they not only put in 28 steel piers, they tied in all of our 8 downspouts underground to make sure we never have drainage issues. As the work was coming to an end, the new piers lifted our garage about 6+ inches above the sinking, cracked driveway. So we hired them to give us a new concrete driveway and it is beautiful! They were able to squeeze that in right at the end of the other work. Cathy, Victor and the crew were all fantastic. Always on time, always cleaning up after the day's work. Cathy and Victor would explain where we were at and what to expect next each day. I can't say enough good things about this company and their team. "We have been in our current (and first ever) home for just over a year. After tons and tons of heavy rains this spring, hairline cracks and nail pops abounded. I, terrified and generally anxious anyway, assumed the worst: our foundation was in shambles and our house was obviously trying to fall into a sink hole. Fortunately, the previous owners had alerted us to foundation repairs and we were able to get the warranty transferred to us upon purchase of our home. I called foundation who worked with me to schedule an appointment. Carl Adams came out right on time. He explained what he was doing and how his machine worked to measure the level of my foundation. He explained to me the work that had been done previously, helped me identify foundation work that had been done by someone else (oh my gosh) and explained to me where to look with my city to see if a work permit had been filed on my property so I could figure out when those were done. He was not only extremely professional and knowledgeable, but was personal and kind in assuaging my greatest fears. My house is fine. He took the time to really explain things, he made notes of what other information to send me (real signs to look for, how to care for my foundation, etc.) I cannot emphasize how my anxiety I had been experiencing over what (thankfully) amounted to nothing. I sincerely appreciate the time and kindness and feel that he went beyond expectations to take a little extra time to teach me how to be a sane and competent home owner (at least when it comes to foundations!)"

"It's funny... we've been considering a foundation repair company for our current house, and my wife mentioned Integrated Foundation Solutions, which then rang a bell. The experience to follow happened years ago, and we never posted a review to reflect the lousy service from IFS. Truthfully, I think we were too hacked off by the whole experience to focus, at the time. But, after finding all the old emails today, with all the salient details intact, I thought I'd rectify that mistake. (Quoted verbiage to follow is verbatim from emails.) Short version: Before the sale of our previous house, we brought out IFS to level our foundation. Schaun (owner) and Diane (coordinator) sent out a crew headed up by Arlen... during the foundation leveling, one of Arlen's crew kicked loose a plumbing pipe, which then proceeded to soak a portion of the carpet and baseboard in the nearest room. No one on the crew told us, perhaps no one noticed. (Arlen even went so far as to say that there was "not a doubt in his mind" that one of his guys had kicked the pipe connection loose. Further, Arlen mentioned that it was the third occasion one of his team members had caused damage on the job, in the few weeks previous.) After we brought out a plumber for repairs, IFS said that "flooring folks" had been contacted re: examining and repairing the damage caused during the foundation work done by IFS. Later, "flooring folks" became Chris, the boyfriend of Diane, the job coordinator. Chris then proceeded to do a sketchy job repairing the baseboard -- painting it while it was still swollen from the leak, thus causing the color to not match at all, despite him being "in the flooring business for many years" -- so then he had to come out again, and was clearly not thrilled to do so. Schaun would also "not authorize using a carpet cleaning company" to clean the carpet, as a result of his team's screw-up, but they had "already rented a Rug Doctor type machine". Aside from costing us time, this was incredibly frustrating, though I remained pleasant and genial over all email exchanges. We only wanted our house back like it was, before IFS caused some damage. Remember, we were in the process of selling the house and there was a contract pending. Clearly, IFS was attempting to be as cost-efficient as possible, for their own bottom line, though when I recapped the situation, the response I received from Schaun was very defensive. His explanation of "I guess if I had charged as much as the other company wanted, this would be a no-brainer and I'd have everything fixed perfectly" really sums up the entire experience, in that he not only reacted defensively to repeated mistakes MADE BY HIS COMPANY, but admitted that they had not fixed everything perfectly. He also said that in regards to repairing the damage caused by his people, "since this was not a regular profit situation, it is only fair that I utilize people that will save me money to make repairs". Which is sort of funny, in that he is again framing the mistakes & damages made by his company as a "situation" by which HE should be treated fairly, rather than the homeowners on the receiving end. Finally, Schaun ended with a suggestion that we be "realistic" in our expectations... "Remember, we've been on top of this from beginning to end so far... you've had everything done immediately and without a word from us". Well, bully for you, Schaun... your people caused damaged that required multiple repairs, and you didn't even complain about our more than reasonable request for that damage to be repaired. Well done! There's every possibility that IFS has matured and is now a dandy company. Perhaps all these secondary and tertiary employees have moved on. But as we bring out foundation companies to look at our current house, we will absolutely not consider IFS. Never again. Because the owner then is apparently still the owner, today. YMMV."

"Be aware of the warranty fraud and bad advertising. The advertising says they stand behind the structure. We have a wall that is in the middle of the area they raised and they did not put piers in the wall. This was a miss on the engineers part that should have had piers. The new engineer that came out said he wasn't the initial engineer and wasn't responsible for the miss. The new engineer said that they only warranty the pier and not the structure of the area the pier is in. (miss advertising). We would have had no problem purchasing additional piers at the time they were installed. Now they want to sell additional piers to fix there miss which is wrong. Be very aware that once they sell you piers if you have any issues in the area they fix is to sell more piers instead of standing behind the structure they fixed."
