"Way over priced. 500.00 to install a door that I am buying, and 5000.00 to replace 9 pieces of siding and paint 3 sides of a 26 X 48 house. I already had an estimate and received 1 more today and I am getting both done for just over half of that."

"Alex was great to work with. He was very methodical and really was concerned about doing the work correctly and not just installing tile. He was also very clean and didn’t leave a mess while working. He installed about 550 sq ft of wood look tile on the patio and 20 sq ft of decorative tile in the powder. Would highly recommend for a tile project."

"My 1950, 860 ft house had 20+ yr old dusty, pink insulation, that was even worse after the city revamped utility vaults & pushed rats into the neighborhood. I chose S.R Insulation to vacuum out, caulk open voids, and re-blow insulation. The owner set up an appointment quickly. On the day of service, he did call 15 minutes late to advise of an issue. The 3 person team arrived within an hour, set up the vacuum and bags, then removed insulation; original, wood-shingle slips; and ducting left by A/C techs. They worked between 3 to 4 hours and said they would return next business day. The two part installation, gave me an idea - I asked for an extension, so I could repair ceiling sheet rock while the attic was void. The owner agreed. He did not require partial payment. Three weeks later, I rescheduled. The install was even quicker, filling up to the stud height in white, blown insulation. He leaves behind a cardboard measuring stick to show you. The difference inside the house was immediate. I will not provide calculations, as I added front load washer/dryer to the electric usage at this same time. Later, I found my stove top vent fan blocked. I was able to pull out material from the duct, and the fan worked. Therefore I did not call the owner about this. I paid less than $1500, and thought it fair. I would use S.R. Insulation again and recommend them."

"They are great! I had ceiling fans and switches installed, as well as wiring. They even repaired a multiple room 3 way-switch mess! I would recommend them to everyone."

"Excellent work by Brandon. He's a very hard worker and went above and beyond to complete the shower install. His experience and expertise in making suggestions for changes in the materials and style of the shower greatly improved what I had originally wanted. We are extremely happy with the completed project and would not hesitate to hire him again. He's highly recommended."

"One of the few companies that would quote me for a small electrical job over the phone. They arrived on time, completed my job, verified that everything was correct, and charged the price they quoted. Many others wanted to charge me a service fee just to come out and wouldn't give me a ballpark over the phone. That may make sense for large jobs but that model doesn't make much sense for installing a few smart switches and a video doorbell. Everyone I spoke with was pleasant and professional. I really can't complain about the service or execution, my only gripe is that 1 hour worth of work was $250! I chose the wrong profession."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of an attic fan depends on the type. Passive fans can last 40 to 50 years, while electric and solar models typically last 10 to 15 years. You can extend the life of your fan with regular maintenance, such as cleaning the fan blades and shutters and checking for moisture. For professional service, you can consult a local attic fan installer or have an HVAC technician clean, oil, and inspect the unit for potential issues.

Yes, you can lubricate a ceiling fan without taking it apart. Ensure the fan is off and clean any dust around the motor area before lubricating. Apply several drops of machine oil to the top of the motor housing where the shaft enters or via the oil ports if available. Regular lubrication helps maintain smooth operation and reduces noise. If your fan lacks an accessible oil port, it may require disassembly or professional maintenance.

A tripped circuit breaker, broken pull chain, faulty wiring, or a bad motor or capacitor are all common causes for a fan to stop working.

On average, a bathroom fan lasts between five and ten years. The fan's lifespan depends on its quality, installation, and frequency of use. You can extend its life with regular cleaning and by promptly addressing any issues. Common signs that you need a new fan include mold growth, a burning smell, unusually loud noises during operation, or lingering odors in the bathroom. If your fan is no longer working as well as it once did, consider replacing it. The cost to install a new bathroom fan is typically between $240 and $550.

Most people describe the sound of an unbalanced ceiling fan as a buzzing or grinding noise. This is caused by the parts of the fan rubbing or rattling against each other as the blades spin. However, a wobbling fan can also make squeaking, rattling, or thumping sounds, depending on the severity of the balance issue.
