My house was built in the late 1950's, and we added a small bathroom to an unfinished upstairs in the 1970's. In 2010, when the floor was removed to allow for a major renovation, it was discovered that the earlier work had been poorly done, even to a drainpipe having been just stuck into a main drain, with no covering or secure connection. Mark Parchman, of Parchman Plumbing, did a really good job of removing the older, not well-done work, developing a clear plan for plumbing the remodeled bathroom, and providing very professional work that we could all see was well done. I feel confident that the work he did will perform satisfactorily for many years. This plumber provided us with quality work, all done in a courteous, pleasant manner that we appreciated.
We have called on this plumber's services twice since then: on 11-16-11, when he installed a new tub and shower valve for the downstairs bathroom, as well as washing machine supply valves, and a main shut-off valve for the whole house ($478 for materials and labor); and on 4/24/13, when he replaced a faucet that had developed a leak under the kitchen sink and was wetting down the kitchen ($145).
In all cases, this plumber was prompt, courteous, professional, and displayed a desire to provide the highest quality work. I highly recommend Parchman Plumbing. Looked over the plans for my septic system, discussed and clarified any vagueness there was in the permit and his plan. He went to work on thursday the 12th and would've been done on the following day except for difficulties encountered in locating the drain coming out of the house. The original builder, Todd Prince Construction, LLC, had buried the drain coming out of the house 18and quot; below the footers and 18and quot; under the house, without clearly defining the exact location of the drain. Thus, Mr. Cochran spent an unnecessary 4.5 digging and looking for the drain that should've been clearly marked and identified by the original builder. Once located, the entire installation went off without a hitch! Due to the waste of time spent looking for that drain that should've been clearly marked, the installation took an extra half day, carrying it into Monday, 16 April 2012. Also, I want to mention that on Sunday, 15 April 2012, Mr. Cochran came to the worksite (apparently after church) to fill in some of the field lines with rock and gravel, due to the possibility of 60% chance of rain in the weather forecast. The man is truly a conscientious person and a professional. Very few builders would do such a thing! If you have any questions that I haven't answered, please feel free to call me and ask. Issues are that he doesn't pay close attention to detail, you have to ride him and do his job for him at times. I assume it may be that he has taken on too much work. Three examples of issues that I've had with him are as follows: Todd asked me to go to Quality Metals in Lobelville, TN to pick out the metal roofing I wanted. I did and picked out both color and thickness, advised Roger at Quality Metals of the color (clay) and thickness (26 ga.) metal I wanted. Todd calls me, asks if I picked out a color, I told him clay, he hangs up. Two days later the metal is delivered and installation begins. Upon checking, the color was right, the thickness was 29ga. not 26ga. He didn't ask me what gauge, just the color. He didn't ask, or Quality Metals never told him I'd picked 26 ga. metal.
My house has three LVLs that support the roof. Along the front LVL, the one that makes the header along the front of the house, he installs 2 pressure treated 6"x6"x8' timbers to support the LVL. When I confronted him about putting pressure treated wood inside a house (in the living areas/living room) he didn't see anything wrong with that. I explained that Pressure Treated wood belonged outside, that it's used to build decks and in landscaping, but not indoors in living areas. I asked the timbers be removed and replaced with seasoned rough sawn Red Oak or White Oak timbers. He says he'll find some, comes back with a proposal for seasoned, finished 10"x10"x10'Red Oak timbers at $208 each. Later I found 30 weathered and seasoned Red Oak timbers myself for $10 each 8"x8"x18' When I had them replace the Pressure Treated wood with the oak timbers I'd bought, instead of cutting them 2" below the top and 2" above the mounting peg on the floor, they cut the pressure treated timbers in half/across the middle, ruining the timbers and reducing them to 3' sections, practically unusable.
Even though from before construction began, Todd Prince Construction, LLC had been given a copy of the house plans and drawings of the intended building. Three months into construction, I noted that the utility room had no floor drain. Even though the room would house a washing machine, 250 gallon hot water heater and a 100 gallon pressure tank. Upon inquiring to Todd about the issue, he had no acceptable response except to suggest to waterproof the room by installing a lip along the framed walls to contain the water.
Lastly, in early August 2011 we had a meeting to discuss closing-in the house (building a roof, roofing, installing front widow frame and seventeen 40"x80" glass panels and the two front doors). Thus making the house contained and protected from the elements. Todd promised that between 15 August 2011 and 15 September 2011, he would build the roof, install the front windows and two entry doors with hardware, for $30,000.00 During this period, Todd Prince decided that the house should be roughed out for electrical, so he brings 5-7 electricians and a master electrician to wire the house. Two weeks past the dead line, with the front windows still uninstalled, front window frame still not built, he presents me with a bill for $40,000.00 (ten days late and 33% over budget). Because I kept pressing Todd about the windows, he had a guy from Waverly Glass come and estimate the front window frame. Estimate was $12,000.00 just to build the metal framework. At that point I was done with Todd Prince Construction, LLC
In short, I got the framework built, soffit installed, 40"x80"x1" double layered, laminated insulated glass panels and labor costs for a total of $10, 781.00
I expect a contractor to know his job, to pay close attention to details, to ask questions, ask questions and ask questions again. I don't expect to have to do his job for him. And changes should be made on paper, to include a signature authorizing the changes. I don't expect to have to take on house building as a second profession. That's why I hired a contractor! I expect a contractor to fulfill promises within the specified timeframe and within projected costs (allowing 3-5% margin for error) I expect contractors to oversee their employees, to respect my land, to take care of the worksite and remove their trash and construction trash. Most of all, I expect a contractor to be 110% professional, and to be THE CONTRACTOR!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tn/camden/todd-prince-constr-reviews-6393296.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Able Plumbing Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Sarah D."},"reviewBody":"We are active duty military and move around a lot. It is hard to find reputable, honest, & efficient repair services, whether for home or auto, when you are not in an area for a long time. We truly rely on Angie's List and the reviews. We bought a repo home, badly in need of repairs, and have tried to do most of the remodeling ourselves to save money. When we removed the master bathroom commode, we discovered that the old wax ring had totally disintegrated, the flange was broken, and the bolts had rusted through. The flange was well-glued to the drain pipe as well. That bathroom is immediately above our newly remodeled kitchen so we decided to call in the professionals to cut out the flange & replace it. We had already purchased the new commode and were going to install it ourselves but decided to get a quote for installation as well. A fellow service member brought up the name of Able Plumbing and we checked them out on Angie's List. We were pleased to see so many good reviews and contacted them. The initial response was terrific. We contacted them them by eMail the afternoon of Feb 23rd, they were in touch and scheduled an estimate the next day. We were given a 4 hr time frame for the technician to arrive with a 30 minute telephone notice. The call came at 7:30 a.m. the next morning (Feb 25th) stating that the technician would arrive in approximately 30 min. He was at the front door in exactly 30 minutes! For the price quoted, it was much less hassle to have Able Plumbing install the new commode as well tackle the broken flange. The work was done in 1 1/2 hrs & for less than the initial quote. The technician, Danilo Bonilla, could not have been more professional, courteous, & efficient. He was mindful of the fact that it was pouring rain, wiping his feet carefully to prevent tracking in water. During the work he performed, he cleaned up any debris and he left the site immaculate! Able Plumbing is to be commended for having an employee of his caliber. We will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs. There are a lot of large plumbing companies in this area, many who have professionally created advertising on TV & radio. And they are extremely expensive as well. We have always tried to support the smaller companies, thus our reliance on Angie's List."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/va/lorton/able-plumbing-inc-reviews-358447.htm"},"position":5}]}

FAQs for french drain service projects in Waverly, TN
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
