"Painted our 2 story home and did an excellent job. Went out of there way to stop at our shed builders to get a paint sample from our sheds to match our home. It matched perfectly. They were professional and arrived each day on time. Very happy with their service and will definitely use them again."

I had used this company before and even though the price was high I was pleased with the work and follow thru they did when the painter who was originally doing the job had a very bad accident and couldn't finish the job.  A new person was sent out to finish the job and I was pleased. That is why I hired them again.

The work on the deck was done but much slower than it should have been.  The stain ordered was the wrong color and it had to be ordered again and put over the area where the first stain was put.  There was only one man on the job and he had to carry off all the furniture and when the job was done, had to put it back on all by himself.  He was the man who had the bad accident years ago and I felt bad for him.  But I couldn't help as I had knee surgery.  Unfortunately, some of the furniture had to be dragged back on because of it being so heavy and that left dark marks on the deck.  The owner came out several times to look at it and decided that it was mud and that I had to wash it off.  So it was left that way and after buying TSP, I slowly did scrub off the dark marks, bad knee and all.  I wasn't pleased with that as two people should have been on the job.

I would use them again only if the job that needed to be done had the right number of people assigned to do it.

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

You’ll need to restrain your deck when you notice fading, cracking, peeling, or mold and mildew over a moderate to large area, or when it’s become especially difficult to clean. As for how often to stain a deck, plan to do it every two to three years or whenever you start to notice extended damage.

Always wait until the morning dew has dried before you stain your deck. The stain needs a fully dry surface to sink into.

Yes, it is important to wash your deck before painting to ensure the paint applies well and adheres properly. While you don't have to use a pressure washer, it is one of the most efficient cleaning methods. Pressure washing can quickly remove dirt, wood fibers, and flaked paint, getting deeper into the wood than manual scrubbing. You can also clean the deck with a stiff broom and a cleaning solution. Regardless of the method, a clean surface is essential for good paint adhesion. Make sure the deck is completely dry before applying any paint.

The number of coats you need to apply when whitewashing a surface depends on how opaque you want the final product to be. If you're going for a transparent, barely there look, a single coat or two may suffice. For fuller coverage, you'll want to use multiple coats. Another option is to use a less diluted paint to get a thicker coverage.

Wood stains last anywhere from two to five years, depending on exposure to the elements, your local climate, the type of stain, and the surface it’s on. For instance, vertical surfaces last longer than horizontal surfaces. Some types of woods, like dense hardwoods, will require a recoat yearly, as they are too dense for the stain to absorb. In any event, apply a recoat every 2 to 4 years. As for storage, a can of unopened stain can last up to 5 years, though results may vary.
