Painted the living room, shimmed the front door as well. Also, installed the door handle to the front door.
Applied a new coat of stain and sealant to the main entrance. Turned out perfect
This is the final product after primer. Installed some very nice crown mold with new baseboard as well

"The project started on time and took as long as projected by the contractor.  Everything went smoothly and we love the way our deck looks now with the roof extension.  After the work was completed there was one small little item I wasn't 100% happy with.  Robert personally came out and took care of it himself to my satisfaction.  We would certainly use Highland Home Improvement in the future.

"Kevin was great! He worked as long as it took to complete the project and to his satisfaction, which was even higher than mine--and I'm pretty picky--b/c he knew more about what imperfections to look for. I appreciated his diligence and his own commitment to a good-quality finished product --even if it meant putting more work on himself to make it "right". I also appreciate that b/c, being new to this homeownership and taking on home projects, he could've left with the finished product less than his best, and I may have been none the wiser until much later!"

Satin paint is generally considered a better choice for woodwork—including trim, baseboards, cabinets, and doors—than flatter finishes like eggshell or matte. Its soft sheen enhances architectural details and stands up well to frequent cleaning and daily wear. Compared to eggshell and matte finishes, satin is more durable for high-touch areas because it is less porous and doesn't absorb dirt as easily. Matte finishes, in particular, are prone to scuffs and are harder to clean, making them less practical for surfaces like doors and cabinets.
