"They were very costly and said that they could only install the shower, when, in fact, we needed plumbing done plus a shower install. In North America, pipe measurements are listed as the nominal pipe size (NPS). This measurement refers to the outside diameter. First, check that you have cut off the water supply to your toilet. This is a project that can only be done safely if running water cannot reach your toilet fixture.
