"I had a plumbing emergency very prompt about coming out and fixing problem. While fixing my outdoor broken main pipe Mr Rooter tech discovered a break in my natural gas line and promptly called city utilities to fix problem even staying to show city workers where leak located on Mr. Rooter camera. This was on a federal holiday too. I had smelled gas leaks for several months prior and so had my next door neighbor. We both called the city utilities several times to report gas smell and nothing was done to fix problem by city workers.. But when city workers saw camera pictures they couldn't argue and fixed gas leak. Mr. Rooter tech went beyond what would be expected of a plumber."

"Innovative Restorations repaired and remodeled our master bath and it was truly a great experience. We had used another contractor and it was a disaster (all of the previous work had to be completely redone). Dean helped us make a plan to fix single thing and he was so reassuring. Keenan, Whit, and JT did the work of repair and installation and they were respectful, clean, and skilled. They always double checked to make sure we were on the same page and were happy to explain anything. It was such a great experience and I would definitely recommend them."

"Quality product. Felt like 11,000 for the "wet space" was a bit steep but they guarantee their product for life so I suppose if you look at the big picture for the product you are getting, custom designed for your space, and specifically fitted to your space the day of, replacement of plumbing lines, and a lifetime warranty I can't be too mad at the price"

Small jobs welcome

"Fantastic experience and highly recommended. Moving from out of state to East Tennessee, we needed extensive updates to a high-value home that we purchased. The upgrades we requested involved kitchen updates, bathrooms remodeling, bedroom, and living room fireplaces updating, electrical work, plumbing work, custom doors, painting, and several other projects. All projects were done perfectly with high quality, with no schedule delays and to the price quoted. Very rare to find such great all in one services and glad we found Alan and Heartland Remodeling."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

The clearest sign that something is wrong with your galvanized piping is if you can see rust or corrosion on the exterior. These indicate that the same problems are present on the inside of the pipes. You should contact a licensed plumber right away so that they can inspect your pipes. Other signs include poor performance of your gas appliances, high gas bills, and if your pipes are past the lifespan of 20 to 50 years.

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.

Sprinkler pipes can leak for various reasons, including physical damage from being stepped on or punctured by garden tools. Systemic issues can also be the cause, such as broken or damaged O-rings and connections. Leaks may also occur if the pipes were not installed correctly or if the above-ground valves have failed.

Yes, copper pipes freeze at temperatures of 20 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. In fact, copper pipes are more likely to freeze than other piping types since they conduct energy and lose heat quickly. They’re also more difficult to insulate, since insulation may make it difficult for heat to reach the pipes during sudden surges of cold weather.

Start by inspecting visible pipes for signs of corrosion, moisture, or discoloration, which can indicate a leak. You should also listen for sounds like hissing or dripping, which may point you toward a leak. Moisture meters and infrared cameras can also help you identify areas of increased moisture around your home, which can also signify a leak.
