Customers say: Quality work

"FJ was excellent at communicating, which is very important to me. They showed up on time or let me know of any changes. In addition to installing a vanity and flooring, they repaired and prepped drywall and installed baseboards and shoe moldings. Very easy and pleasant to work with!"

"Moises repaired columns on my porch and painted both. He also repaired some window frames and painted them. He installed new cut off valves for my washer and fixed my shower valve in the bathroom. He needed a piece to fix the shower and had to come back a few days later."

Small jobs welcome

"Cirio is a pleasure to work with. Extremely knowledgeable and exhibited extreme attention to detail. His staff was very professional and kept the workplace clean. He went above and beyond. We will definitely use their services again. We hired Cirio for a complete remodel of our basement. He preformed all jobs from drywall, plumbing, new windows, new stairs, tile, electrical with new fixtures and kitchenette install. During his time working on our home, we had an issue with a malfunctioning sump pump that he addressed promptly and saved us from water damage. He also addressed a leak in the roofing and organized the repair. We also had the main water line burst and the waterline in our laundry room burst and he quickly jumped into action to remedy those issues. With all the extra issues we had we thought the job timeline would be extended, but to our surprise he completed all the work on time. Cirio will not disappoint."

"Surv Nashville was very easy to work with. Tom and Joe were polite, professional, and did good work. A time or 2 we had to make sure we were on the same page, but it all worked out well. Danny did his best to make sure I was happy before they closed out the job. I would highly recommend this company."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

In addition to flashing, a roof cricket can help divert water around your chimney so that it drains properly off your roof. It’s shaped like a double triangle and is installed behind the chimney so that falling water spills evenly down each side. This helps prevent water from accumulating behind your chimney, which can increase water damage and the risk of leaks.

The International Building Code (IBC) requires cricket installation if a chimney built after 2012 measures over 30 inches in width. Chimneys constructed before that date are typically grandfathered in and aren’t required to have crickets installed.

Yes, you need to leave your chimney damper open when burning a creosote log so that smoke and other debris doesn’t waft into your house as it’s burning. You’ll need to make sure your damper is fully open, even when the log continues to smoke, until it’s completely out and cold.

Pellet stoves burn compressed wood byproducts, making them very efficient and clean-burning. However, even efficient combustion still produces fine dust particles, which could have an effect on the health of vulnerable people in your household, such as infants and people with asthma. A wood stove pro can help determine whether the levels in your home are unsafe.

Yes, there are regulations on using wood stoves, particularly concerning emissions and installation standards. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sets emission limits for wood stoves to ensure they burn cleaner and more efficiently. Additionally, local building codes may have specific requirements for installation and venting, so it's essential to check with local authorities before installing or upgrading your stove.

Yes, it is possible. An electrical fire can break out if the compressor has inadequate ventilation. When it overheats but doesn't have a proper thermal cutout, this can cause the motor to short-circuit and catch fire. This risk is exacerbated if flammable materials, like dust and fallen leaves, are clogging the unit. The compressor overheating won't start a fire by itself, but poor maintenance and installation can increase the risk once it hits its breaking point and short-circuits.
