Small jobs welcome

"I live in a 128 year old home. It required a new and larger circuit box, some re wiring from the street to the house, larger conduits. I also wanted some puck lights in a new walk in closet, office and hallway with NO previous lighting or wiring. Randall didn’t not back down from this challenge. On time, on point and extemelt hard working man. The circuits have never blown since the new install, the lights are amazing. He even indulged me in hanging and wiring a new 6’ diameter fan/light combo in my living room. When I tell you THIS IS the only electrician you need. I am not wrong. Thanks so much!"

"I hired W B Lighting Rods/William Burden to install lightning rods on my home. I spoke to William on a Monday and by Thursday before 1 PM the lightning rods were installed on my home. William explained everything he was going to do before he did it. The lightning rods were affordable and most of all it gives me peace of mind knowing that my home is protected against lightning strikes and fire damage. I couldnâ t be happier with this company!!"

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

"They did a fantastic job installing the lights. They even came back in the spring to check the placement and trim back any bushes that may be interfering with the lights."

"My project was for new siding, windows, and entirely new deck (those were not options on the drop down here, so I chose electrical as they did have to replace several lights outside for me). Great job done by a great, friendly, get the job done right group of guys. Highly recommend."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The safest way to pull an electrical cord from the wall outlet is by gently but firmly grabbing the plug and pulling it out. Pulling on the cord instead of the plug can cause damage to the cord, leading to an increased risk of electrical problems like fire or electric shock. If you notice damaged wiring on an appliance or device, it’s best to stop using it immediately.

Systems should be checked every 2-3 years or whenever signs of age appear, maintaining network integrity and safety at all times.

The dials on an electrical meter simply represent the number of kWh you have used since it was installed. In a five-dial setup, the left-most dial represents tens of thousands of kWh, while the next dial to the right represents thousands of kWh. The following dials going to the right represent hundreds, tens, and ones.

Yes, the National Electrical Code (NEC) requires that outdoor Christmas lights be plugged into a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet to prevent hazardous electrical shocks or an electrical fire. It’s a code violation to plug outdoor Christmas lights into a non-GFCI outlet, so be sure to follow these guidelines for a safe and successful installation.

Moving an electrical outlet typically costs between $25 and $300. The final price depends on several factors, including the type of outlet, the condition of your existing wiring, and the state of your walls. For example, working on exposed walls without drywall is easier and less expensive for an electrician. However, if the walls are finished, the cost may increase to account for necessary repairs afterward. It's recommended to consult a professional for a precise quote based on your specific situation.
