"I had a small siding repair that no one was willing to do. Most companies only want to sell new siding and ignore other work. New improve happily took the task and never even mentioned new siding. It wasnt cheap, but whenever someone pulls a ladder out of the truck thats normal. I rent houses and this is the fastest easist contractor ive used."

"We met the representatives of Mr. Roof at the Home and Garden show. There are  lot of our community neighbors getting their roofs replaced so we thought we better get ours checked. Song Hong came out, they walked the roof and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we did not have any damage nor did we need to have any work done. We really appreciated their being on time, but most of all being honest in their appraisal of the roof. They gave us a bid for future reference and it seemed more than fair. It's nice knowing that you can contact a vendor like Mr. Roof and know that they are honest and professional.

"Dakota and his team are amazing. My roof was done quickly and efficiently with work I didn’t know we needed. His team also made it super easy for us to get what we needed from our insurance company to afford it as well. Will definitely work with them again and would recommend them to anyone."

"They fixed the one spot that was damaged on my roof. They gave me a very fair price. Unlike other contractors who wanted to have me pay 500-700 for one small spot. They gave me a price of 200. They are amazing and good at what they do. I highly recommend them!"

Small jobs welcome

"I needed repairs to red cedar shingle siding to satisfy conditions for selling my house. Dave and his crew from DMS did excellent work and I was able to have the work done very promptly so I was relieved to see such great results. He was extremely neat in cleaning up his construction scene. (While cleaning construction debris from my roof he even cleaned the gutter!) I would hire him again without question."

"We bought a house in La Vergne in 2021 and our buying agent had Lee Hoagland from Storm Guard Roofing do a thorough inspection on the roof prior to going under contract. His assessment was consistent with the initial inspector’s report that the roof was in dire condition and needed replacing. He and his team put together a very competitive estimate for roof replacement and Lee was very consultative in helping us pick a color and materials package, plus maintained excellent communication regarding the build once it was scheduled. The roof was installed in a day, looks amazing, and is as weather-tight as possible. It still looks and functions as great today as the day it was installed. We really enjoyed working with him and we feel confident that should we have issues in the future, he will make things right with no questions asked. Highly recommend reaching out to Storm Guard and asking for Lee specifically if you need a new roof, gutters, windows, or siding, or if you think you have issues from your roof from storm-related damage. We did our research and they are top-notch based on both reviews and our own personal experience. Thank you Storm Guard, and thank you Lee!"

"Great company for vinyl fence. Top notch product. A little on the expensive side, but project manager Don was great to work with. He took care of getting the paperwork to the HOA, so we could get the project going. He also kept me informed along the way. The installer was hardworking and nice. He kept the job site clean. This Company has the best vinyl fence warranty."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Insulated vinyl siding is very durable and can last for 20 to 40 years. The extra support that the insulation provides helps to make the vinyl siding less susceptible to damages from weather and other minor wear and tear. Vinyl siding on its own may  be less durable than other types of siding like fiber cement, but when coupled with insulation it is stronger than usual.

There should be small gaps between your roof and the walls of your home, and other buildings. These small gaps let building materials shift, expand, and contract with weather and other outside forces, and they prevent moisture from wicking down walls from roofing and gutter systems. Without these strategic gaps, your home’s exterior and its finishes can sustain water damage, decay, peel, delaminate, and crack. However, there is a fine line between a smart gap and a problematic gap—all  gaps should be small, intentional, and covered or filled in with foam insulation to prevent pests from using them as access points.

Brick and stone are the most durable and longest-lasting siding materials, often lasting for 100 years or more with proper maintenance. Copper is another material known to last over 100 years, though it can develop a greenish patina over time. Zinc is a metal siding that can last 80-100 years. While these options are the most expensive, they offer superior value and longevity. For a more affordable yet durable choice, stucco can last 50 to 80 years in dry climates. Fiber cement siding is another excellent middle ground, offering a lifespan of 50 years or more with low maintenance at a lower cost than stone or brick.

Yes, it is common for mold to grow on the underside of the siding due to the moist atmosphere. When there is an abundance of moisture, mold has the ideal environment to spread and thrive. This fungus can be found on virtually any surface, both indoors and outdoors. Generally, it is most active when the environment is warm, damp, and humid.

A brick exterior for your home has many advantages over other types of siding. While brick siding and veneer are more expensive, they’re also durable, long-lasting, and weather-resistant. Brick siding is aesthetically appealing, and can help to increase the value of your home. It’s also easy to maintain brick siding.
