"Wayne did a great job for us at a very reasonable price. He installed a new light, ceiling fan, and a heat/light/fan fixture for a bathroom. He was on time and finished at the estimated time. If you hire Wayne you will not be disappointed! He will definitely be my “go to” for all electrical needs."

"Lawrence did an outstanding job from start to finish. He installed a dedicated electrical circuit for our new mini-split in my kids’ room, repaired and organized several electrical wiring issues around the house, and installed an exterior fan—all with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. He took the time to explain everything, kept the work area clean, and made sure every detail was done right. His professionalism, reliability, and pride in his work really stood out. If you’re looking for an honest, knowledgeable electrician who genuinely cares about quality, I highly recommend Lawrence. I’ll definitely be calling him again for future electrical projects!"

He cleaned up after himself and made sure I was pleased with the product before leaving! I haven't had any issues at all. Everything works as expected! I definitely will be using Roberts Electric again and recommending!"

"Keifer did everything that we hired him to do plus he pointed out somethings that also needed done. He and his helpers were very professional and extremely quick. They completed the living room, hall, Stairwell, Kitchen, downstairs and upstairs bathrooms in 2 days!! We have no complaints about their work and would definitely use them again. Any new projects that came up while they were here was also finished in those two days."

"Aaron was great. He responded promptly to texts and phone calls throughout the whole process. The work he did looks awesome and is better than I could imagine. He took just a simple online photo and created a great carport. Definitely I’ll use him again."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

You should generally avoid using WD-40 on a ceiling fan. While it might quiet a squeak temporarily, it is primarily an anti-corrosion and water displacement agent, not a true lubricant, and can damage the fan's components over time. Most modern ceiling fans have sealed bearings and do not require oiling, so a squeak may indicate another issue. For fans that do require lubrication, it is better to use a light machine oil, 30-weight motor oil, or a lubricant specifically designed for ceiling fans.

Replacing an AC fan motor takes one to four hours for a pro to complete, depending on how easy or difficult it is to access the AC unit. A pro may also spend extra time inspecting the unit to make sure everything else is in good condition. It may take a few days or a week between the time a pro orders a new fan motor and when the replacement comes.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

A tripped circuit breaker, broken pull chain, faulty wiring, or a bad motor or capacitor are all common causes for a fan to stop working.

Once you remove all standing water and puddling, you should run fans for 24 to 48 hours to remove the remaining moisture. For severe water damage, it’s a good idea to run them for three to four days to be safe. Make sure you buy or rent the proper size and number of fans for your water-damaged area.
