Customers say: Quality work

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Elevated Home Improvements for the construction of a sunroom and deck, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Jeff Bell and his sons run this family-owned and operated business, and their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is truly commendable. From the initial consultation to the completion of the project, communication was excellent. They were honest and upfront about the process, timelines, and costs, which I really appreciated. Not only did they finish the job on time, but the results were beyond my expectations. The craftsmanship was impeccable, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the work. What stood out the most was their friendly and approachable demeanor. They made sure to address any concerns I had along the way and were always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. The pricing was fair and transparent, making the entire experience stress-free. I highly recommend Elevated Home Improvements to anyone looking for high-quality work, excellent communication, fair pricing, and a friendly team. You won't be disappointed with the beautiful work they do!"

"Doug is a true gentleman. With his language and mannerisms he treated me with the upmost respect. Knowledgeable, conscientious, and kind thatâ s Doug. I showed him the ten things on my to do list. One by one he completed the tasks. Never taking a break he worked very diligently the six hours that he was here. One of the major products was to put up a wall mount and hang my new 55â LG Smart TV. Prior to Dougâ s arrival on a different day I had pulled the box the TV was in from the front door to bring it in. Though the TV is a thin screen I couldnâ t believe how heavy it was. After he hung the TV he programmed it with me as I had no idea how to even begin doing this. I would have had a TV to watch, but wouldnâ t have been able to do so without Dougâ s help. Another big project was to hang a big oval mirror above the master bedroom bathroom sink. Both TV and the mirror he used a level to make sure they were perfect. Theyâ re secure and I know that theyâ re not going to fall off. I was amazed how reasonable the bill was for all the work that he had done. Iâ m guessing that anyone else wouldâ ve charged way more than he did. I was extremely pleased with Dougâ s service and I would highly recommend him."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In most cases, wrought iron fencing will cause your property value to increase. Most types of fence—but especially high-quality wrought iron fences—make your home more secure and deter burglars, which adds to property value. Fences can also help keep children and pets safe, which most homebuyers will appreciate. Wrought iron fences are also highly decorative, and while they don’t provide much privacy, they do add to your home’s curb appeal, which often leads to higher home value.

Most people prefer to keep the fence level by “stepping” the fence when running a horizontal fence over a slope. Stepping involves raising each panel between the posts as the fence moves over changes in slope, giving the fence line the appearance of stair steps. While this may be the preferred method of running a horizontal fence up a slope, there’s nothing wrong with installing your fence so it follows the undulations in the ground instead.

Paint your fence, install customized fence slats, or attach a bamboo screen for a more appealing yard aesthetic. Paint can give your yard a unique and fun look, and adding fence slats gives you a classic fence appearance. Bamboo screens are probably the most unique option that can add a fun vibe to your space.

The most durable metal for a fence is wrought iron. With proper care, a wrought iron fence can last for centuries. This means regular resealing to stave off rust and corrosion, especially in coastal climates with salty sea air. In these environments, chain link and corrugated fencing tend to stand up better to the elements with fewer maintenance needs.

Concrete is one of the easiest, most cost-efficient, and most effective ways to stabilize a fence post. To stabilize a fence post with concrete, you’ll dig a hole around the post in question and fill it up with concrete—easy as that. Concrete lasts about 50 years on average, so it’s a long-term solution.
