For over 30 years, we have been helping the residents of NE Tennessee and SW Virginia solve their problems with animal infestation. As a licensed and bonded business, you can rest assured that our services are safe and efficient. We strive to achieve customer satisfaction in every way possible.

"I called Rogers wildlife because I had a raccoon the found it’s way into my ceiling in between my first floor and basement. They came over and told me that they couldn’t find where it was getting in. They thought it was just field mice. I told them that it couldn’t be because the sound was to big and I heard raccoon noises. Two weeks later I called them again when the raccoon ate a hole in my basement ceiling. They looked at it and said again there’s no way that a raccoon would get in there to put out mouse bait. So I did. NO NO NO don’t do that! The raccoon then put its foot through my ceiling… I saw it, so I called again and they were to busy to help me they didn’t believe it was a raccoon foot, maybe a mouse, maybe a opossum. They gave me a number to call. I called that person and he wouldn’t help me either. So I set my own trap and caught a raccoon. See the picture Rogers it’s a raccoon not a field mouse not a opossum not a squirrel. *edit: photo won’t upload. It’s a raccoon, if you STILL don’t believe me I’ll email it to you… I called Rogers again to come pick him up like they promised me they would if I caught one. They were to busy. Fast forward two days… an awful smell started happening… I called rogers they said that it was probably just a mouse and it will go away… I pleaded them for their help but guess what they were to busy. Long story short a full size raccoon got stuck in the space and died. No Rogers it wasn’t a female I caught and no Rogers it wasn’t babies. No the smell just didn’t go away. You told me if I put out poison that I wouldn’t have flies and maggots and smell. I had hundreds of flies and thousands of maggots raining down from my ceiling. I had to call a professional cleaning company… the company found 5 raccoon latrines the raccoons have made because months had gone by since I first called to get help. The raccoons chewed into my ducts, ruined drywall, etc … they have done over 15k dollars of damage to my dwelling, thousands I had to pay for the professional cleaners and loss of the mattresses, couch, chairs and everything else that can’t go in the washer. By the way most insurances do not cover animal damage. Call your insurance … you’ll find out I’m right. If Rogers would’ve listened to me when I first called months before my house wouldn’t be a biohazard, and destroyed. It’s been one of the worst experiences in my life because 4 different men who were their employees didn’t listen or believe me that this was happening. Roger’s Wildlife didn’t believe a single mother of a 22 month old, and because of that this mom is going through her worst nightmare and who will not be able to financially recover for a decade. Also this mom has to stay in a hotel for weeks until it’s safe for her kid to go home. The baby keeps asking for “home”. “No baby, I’m so sorry, we don’t have a home right now. No baby you can’t have wee bear. No sweetheart we can’t get your blanket. I don’t know when baby”. It’s just heartbreaking Edit:In response to the inaccurate response to my review Review Text: I cut a hole in my ceiling so that you could come to catch it. You told me that I had baby raccoons and I told you I gave the raccoon a shower and he showed me his gender. I asked you to look on my roof again and you denied me my request because yes it was hot. You continued to not believe in what I was saying and told me to put poison out. If I was able to catch one raccoon than why weren’t you able to help me? If you helped me earlier than the raccoon wouldn’t have gotten stuck. If you serviced my request in the first place I wouldn’t have had so much damage to my air ducts. The issue is you would not listen nor did you believe me. You also stated that you would come and look at the my home and apologize for ignoring me. You also stated to me that other wildlife companies in the area were sub par and preceded to tell me to trust you. I paid you for the work. As for the entry. It was in my roof and I’ll be more than happy to get you the photo where you obviously missed. So don’t blame it on me being in a condo. Pass the buck all you want your company gave me poor service and I’m paying dearly for it."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Rabbits face a range of formidable adversaries in rural and suburban areas. Natural predators such as hawks, foxes, bobcats, raccoons, coyotes, and weasels pose significant threats to their survival. These skilled hunters target bunnies for food, contributing to regulating rabbit populations. Outdoor housepets can be enemies, too, particularly dogs and cats. And loud little humans playing in your yard make great rabbit deterrents, too.

Woodpeckers may seek out homes with aluminum siding or tin roofs because these surfaces echo their drumming. Homes with wood siding are more frequently targeted as roosting areas or for food sources. If you have insects living in the exposed wood in your home, the birds are likely looking for a snack, in which case your best option is to hire an exterminator.

Generally, spring is the best time to hire a pest control service, but it also depends on when you notice the infestation. Insect pest numbers are lower in spring before they hatch, making the extermination and prevention process more manageable as nests and eggs of future pests are eliminated. However, don’t hesitate to hire a pest control specialist when you spot signs of a problem.

An owl's worst enemy in the wild is often other raptors and environmental factors. Among the avian threats, larger owls or other birds of prey can pose a danger, engaging in territorial disputes or competing for food resources. Terrestrial predators like foxes, raccoons, and larger mammals may target owl nests or young fledglings. Environmental factors like severe weather conditions, habitat loss, and food availability changes can also significantly impact owl populations.

It can be difficult to know what type of animal is in your attic until you see it. But several clues can help you narrow down the suspects:

  • Sounds: Smaller animals like rats and mice make scurrying and tapping/gnawing sounds. Larger animals like raccoons and opossums make louder clambering noises. Also, note when animals are noisy: Squirrels are active during the day, while rats are busiest at night.

  • Droppings: Rats and mice leave small, rice-shaped droppings (the rat’s version is significantly larger). Bigger droppings belong to larger critters like raccoons. As long as you’re not squeamish, an image search can help you identify what you’re seeing in your attic.

When in doubt, take photos of damage or other evidence and show them to an experienced pest control pro.
