"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

New homeowners in Sioux Falls should inspect all window screens before spring, as many are stored during winter and may have tears or bent frames. Prioritize repairing or replacing screens in high-use areas like porches and patios. Check basement window well screens for proper drainage. Consider upgrading to durable, weather-resistant screens and explore energy-efficient options to help manage indoor temperatures throughout the year.

Helpful?

For screen repair in Sioux Falls, begin by measuring each window screen and noting the frame type, as local homes often feature aluminum, vinyl, or wood. Schedule repairs before peak insect season for best results. Gather all necessary materials ahead of time, and confirm if any window screens need full screen replacement. Early planning helps prevent delays and ensures your screens are ready for summer.

Helpful?

After completing screen repair in Sioux Falls, inspect your window screens each spring for signs of winter damage or wear. Clean screens twice a year to remove dust and pollen common in the area. Before severe weather, secure or temporarily remove screens to prevent damage. Regularly check mounting hardware for loosening due to freeze-thaw cycles, and keep a record of repairs for future screen replacement needs.

Helpful?

In Sioux Falls, repairing window screens may reveal worn window hardware or issues with window sensors, especially in homes with security systems. If you have storm windows or whole-house fans, check their condition before starting. Addressing air leaks during screen repair can improve energy efficiency and indoor comfort. Inspecting these related systems ensures your screen replacement project won’t disrupt your home’s functionality.

Helpful?

Sioux Falls homes built in the mid-20th century often have unique window screen mounting systems that may require custom solutions. Foundation settling, common in the area, can cause window frames to shift, making screen fitting more complex. Multi-story layouts or homes with previous storm damage may need special tools or custom-sized screens. Historic properties may also require tailored screen repair approaches.
