I'm pretty handy at most tasks, I went to the University of Nebraska for construction and business management. I have been doing this kind of work since the early 2000s, I have built multiple single-family homes from the ground up as well as a few commercial projects. I have had my hands in just about every aspect of the construction process. I am comfortable doing electrical, plumbing, drywall/sheetrock, carpet, framing, finishing, foundations, deck or patio, excavation, cabinets/ countertops, doors, brick, siding, concrete, and more.

Concrete should be at least 2 inches thick to maintain its stability and quality. Most concrete slabs fall between 4 and 6 inches thick, but you should be careful not to make the new slab too high or heavy.
