"Jon went over up and beyond to remove a very dangerous side ditch I accidentally slid into in the winterâ ¦ tore apart a inefficient road and repositioned it with widening â ¦ excavatingâ ¦ and tree removal to offset my road and driveway up the hill in a more safe and secure directionâ ¦. He took it upon himself to bold me a much needed retaining wall thus preventing future soil erosion and trenching which could ultimately destroy parts of this property â ¦ killed off a nearby snake pit and reworked another drainage ditch making water head in an entirely different direction thus preserving my new and beautiful safe road forever Iâ m extremely happy to have been so fortunate to have come across such a reputable and trustworthy business that incorporates a lot of pride and integrity with the work he performs Jon is very talented and I am and will continue spreading around to everyone that HE IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB No hanky pankyâ ¦ no extraordinary or outrageous estimates or unexpected chargesâ ¦no lying or skirting unforeseen problems or issues to just get the job done And Iâ m not one to even give recommendations these days but for this company itâ s a definite and solid YES"

"Colton did a great job with welding up my dump trailer. Overtime it developed some issues and without hesitation, he came and picked up my dump trailer for me and immediately got to work and got it back to need fixed as I requested within about a day and a half."

"Casen did an amazing job removing the bushes in my front yard, laying a beautiful bed of mulch, and replanting the bushes I had purchased. He was professional, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations throughout the project. His work was completed quickly and exceeded my expectations. The transformation has definitely increased the curb appeal and value of my home. I highly recommend Casen to anyone looking for quality landscaping work!"

As a local member of the community, I have been in the construction industry for just over 10 years. With experience ranging from general construction needs, to light electrical, and plumbing I have the knowledge it takes to complete a job on time and with excellent quality. \n\nWhy pay more for a large contractor to provide you a simple service when you can save money and have some peace of mind knowing a local member of the community is taking care of your needs and providing exactly what you need.

Excavating questions, answered by experts

No, you typically cannot use metal detectors to find your sewer line. Most sewer lines are made of non-metallic materials such as PVC, clay, or cast iron, which are not detectable by standard metal detectors. Metal detectors are designed to locate metallic objects, so they won't be effective for identifying the path of a non-metallic sewer line. To locate your sewer line accurately, it's best to use other methods.

A crawl space can be as little as 42 inches below the grade of your house, but this is not always recommended in flood-prone areas. At a minimum, there must be at least 16 inches of clearance between the ground and the floor joists to access the space in an emergency.

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

In most areas, you will need a permit for excavation work, even for projects that only involve grading or yard leveling. Permit requirements depend on your local government and the scope of the project, but they are especially common for significant digging or work that could affect utilities or public property. These permits help protect the local topography and prevent drainage issues. An experienced excavation company will typically know whether permits are needed and can often handle the process of pulling and closing them for you. You can also verify permit requirements by contacting your local building department and describing your project.

Hardscaping often requires preparation of the ground in the area where the feature is being installed. This can include digging, compacting, and leveling the soil, ensuring adequate drainage, and removing any existing plants. The extent of preparation needed will depend on the type and size of the hardscaping feature being installed.
