"Very responsive and punctual for providing quote.  Had problems ordering the insert and installation was postponed for a number of weeks.  Did a good job with service recovery.  Installation went as planned and installers were very professional.  Currently having problems with auto fan switching on.  Plan to call to have it repaired.

"Seal on chimney flashing needed repair along with some shingles and other roof issues so I decided I needed a roofer. If I ever need work on my chimney I would definitely call Sweeps. They were here on time, very good communication, and went above and beyond explaining my issues that were causing a leak around fireplace."

"Got very good courteous, quality and professional work done. Pressure washed and stained large deck, pergola, plant and vegetable garden stands. Applied 3 coats of stain to give the deep, rich color desired. Also installed a slab exterior door leading to garage. Installed perfectly aligned door knob and dead bolt holes and cut out for hinges. Would definitely recommend Ian for handyman services."

"Second time having Hunter do work on my yard and wow--another job well done! Hiring Hunter starts to feel like I'm hiring a brother. Give him a call for a quote and you'll understand what I mean! Had him install sod this go and he was out all day in the rain getting the job done. I plan on having him out again for plant installation...can't imagine going with anyone else!"

"This company is simply the best! They installed the 69TS variety from Artificial Turf Supply for the backyard playspace of our daycare and it is spectacular. Installers were excellent and worked into the night on our tight timeframe as well. You could not ask for better communication or workmanship. Enormous thank you to Rick and his team!!!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

First, it is crucial to check your local guidelines or building codes. You should typically have one smoke detector for every floor, bedroom, and kitchen. Another rule of thumb is to install one smoke detector for every 500 feet in a home. Reviewing manufacturing recommendations, especially for interconnected devices, is also a good idea to ensure proper connection and monitoring.

If your hardwired smoke alarm keeps going off, it could be because the backup battery needs replacing. When replacing the battery doesn’t stop your smoke alarm from beeping, try holding the reset button for 15 to 30 seconds or removing dust from the openings in the alarm. If it continues to chirp, it could be faulty and require replacement.

According to the National Fire Protection Association’s Code NFPA 25 (titled “Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems”), private fire hydrants must undergo inspection once per year, with an accompanying flow test and any necessary maintenance performed on the same schedule. Keep in mind that your town, city, or county may adopt more or less strict testing requirements.

While your forced heating system runs, it can pick up dirt, dust, hair, and other particles from inside your house. Changing your furnace filters regularly is key to preventing this debris from getting stuck in your ducts and swirling around your home. With some types of furnaces, there’s also the potential for carbon monoxide leaks. However, staying up-to-date with your HVAC inspections and installing carbon monoxide sensors can help mitigate this risk.

Yes, a faulty or broken light switch can be a serious fire hazard. Malfunctioning switches, often due to loose connections, exposed wiring, or overheating, can cause sparking or arcing. If you hear a crackling, popping, or hissing sound when you use the switch, it indicates live electricity arcing inside, which is a significant hazard that can ignite nearby flammable materials. If you suspect your light switch is faulty, turn off the power to that circuit at the breaker and contact a qualified electrician to remedy the issue.
