I questioned the woman about the price increase and she made an excuse it was 2 years ago. I called Mount Pleasant Fireplace and Gas who did the job for $250 and 3 days after I called. I understand things are tough and could accept a higher price but a 60% increase is ridiculous."

We scheduled for Apr. 5, then he moved to the 17th, then the 22nd, then the 25th, the he moved the date to September (!!). He knew we had a hard deadline for curb appeal in addition to the seasonal timing of plantings we discussed. What I don't understand is why he kept delaying if he couldn't/wouldn't do the job. Now we're up against a deadline starting from scratch. This contractor was extremely unreliable. If he tells you something, you should probably get it in writing. "
