They did much more than lay down plastic and plop down a dehumidifier - they had to lay a foundation , install a concrete sill wall and install a wall to isolate the crawl space from the porch areas.  All of this work was first class.
The dehumidifier unit is best in class and is silent.  I cannot hear any noise in my living room directly above the operating unit.
They guys even recommended Rh monitoring instruments that I can use to feel good that the system delivers the expected results.  In fact the warranty and guarantee is written around hard specifications on deliverables.

Other people who looked at the porch said that it was not causing an issue with any water intrusion and that there doesn't seem to be any signs on the posts that this could have been recent, it could have been long ago.
