"I hired Rocky Flooring because my carpets literally had some rough edges (due to foot traffic, wheelchair traffic, and three active dogs) at all of the transitions to hard flooring. They did excellent work! The two men showed up on time and got right to work. They were able to stretch the existing carpet and then reattach it to the original transition strips. Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As with timing, the cost to remove tile flooring varies depending on a number of factors, including size and type, adhesive type, condition of the tile and adhesive, and the method used to remove it. If you’re doing it yourself, you can expect the job to cost only the price of any tools, materials, or equipment that you don’t already have. If you’re hiring a professional, expect to pay between $2 and $7 per square foot for labor costs, along with added fees for materials.
