In only one day they removed a very large unused bathtub and original equipment builder-grade shower and installed a gorgeous custom-designed and fitted shower. They were very cordial, kept us informed as the day progressed, resolved an unexpected plumbing issue, and left the renovation area very clean. The window team led by Chris did a beautiful job removing and replacing the large, dated glass block window. We could not be happier with this expert teamâ s performance and the final product. Our design consultant - Luiz M. - even dropped by to be sure we were happy with the progress. The renovation went exactly as he had outlined during his initial consult. Once you move on to the revision process you get to revise your designs three times included in the price! After you approve your design they produce a full construction set which is what you need to go to permitting. They stand by their drafting and offer unlimited redline revisions. "Clive and Tracie were wonderful to work with! Nicest people you'll meet. Their team is very talented, polite and hard-working. We knew we wanted a patio and firepit but didn't have specific details in mind. In our initial meeting with Clive, he took the time to "interview" us to understand our tastes and needs. He put together a couple of designs that addressed all of our needs. Clive was very patient with us as we settled on the design that was right for us. Not only is the patio and fireplace beautiful, he included landscaping that provides shade and privacy, a dedicated space for our trampoline that balances our yard and lighting that looks fantastic at night. Clive goes the extra mile to please his customers. As the project was wrapping up, he called me from the nursery to ask what my wife's favorite color/ flower was so he could include them in the landscaping. Nice touch! I was pleasantly surprised when the job was complete, his team came out and pressure washed the back of the house near the area they worked. They also re-seeded the lawn on the path the heavy machinery traveled to the backyard. After the job was complete, I called Clive about one minor issue and he had his team came out the same day to make the correction. I would most definitely recommend Outdoor Artisan. It was a great experience. You may find cheaper, but not for this quality and level of service."

"Despite some project challenges including myself being remote and my inexperience with interior design, Jules (as I was asked to call her) held my hand through the entire process and made it completely painless! Every question I had was promptly answered and I was made to feel that my input was valued and reflected. I had some constraints, both budgetary and logistically, that Jules was able to handle effortlessly (or at least made it appear that way). As for the work itself, well I love my new apartment! Everyone who visits or sees photos gives me the nicest complements and insists on having Jules' contact information. I wanted mid-century modern and Jules found fantastic pieces at great prices. In addition, she and her wonderful staff, put in the extra effort to make the place feel like a home. "Tom and Barbara were very easy to work with.  I gave him the dimensions that I had requested of the cabinet maker and Tom sent me a quote within an hour.  On the day that the cabinets were being installed, Tom dropped everything and came to the house to take final measurements.  I needed to have the bar finished by Labor Day and Tom found a way to fit it in.  In the Granite business Tom and Barbara totally ROCK!

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"We used Chris Havey and FCR for the first time in late 2012, to remodel a large rec room above our 3-car garage. It included a custom built-in cabinet for the entertainment center, refinishing of existing cabinets, and installation of new flooring. We were very pleased with the timing, cost, and professionalism. We used them again this spring to gut and remodel two bathrooms (including custom-built vanities and beautiful faux-marble showers with glass enclosures), and to remodel/reconfigure a bedroom and closet spaces. Again, we were very happy with the results, and would not hesitate to recommend Chris and his team. In fact, we are already planning our next project.
