It was an obvious problem with a simple solution. I explained to Marc what the situation was and he quoted an approximate cost.  When the tech came, he came up with a slightly higher number, but not enough to be concerned about.  He completed the job in a timely manner, was neat about enlarging the hole that I started in my wall and did not leave a mess on my garage floor.  The tech also gave me a rough estimate for some more work I want to do in the future.  Due diligence will be done, but all things being equal or close enough, I will hire MI Electric in the future. 

I gave a B grade for responsiveness because I had to follow up with Marc after not hearing from him when we agreed would be a good time.  Marc answered my call and got a tech to me in less than an hour and the job was completed approx. 24 hrs. after our first contact.  Great recovery!

When I first contacted him via phone he was on way to a customer and while traveling talked me through, at no cost, steps to correct the problem that I was having. He/We were successful! However, since we hadn't had the logs serviced in several years, I asked him to please come to the house, which he did, at the time promised. He cleaned and tuned the entire system; further corrected the remote control issue; replaced the thermal coupler; added lava rock and replaced the ember material with new, brighter glowing material. The flame is bright; the remote works well; and there are no leaks. We also learned a lot about gas fire logs, and very much enjoyed getting to know Alex. He is a remarkable and talented man. We are safe and cozy once again."

"I called Russ to give me an estimate on built in bookshelves (est was $3000) and doors and shelf for an already existing shelf. Russ came on time when I made the 1st appt. We were having other work done to our house so I was trying to figure out what we were going to have done this year. I called Russ back 4 months later and he came back out to remeasure. He missed the 1st appt to remeasure but when I called back he came out. I was unsure about the built in shelves but wanted to do the have the doors and shelf made which he said would not be a problem. This was on a Tues. He said he would have it done by the end of the week so I called on Monday when I had not heard from him. This started at the end of May. He had another project but would put the doors in the truck and stop by when he had a few minutes. The next time I called he still need to paint the doors but it was too humid. Then after calling weekly for 6 weeks I asked if I need to find someone else to do it and he said his truck and all of his tools were stolen???? I provide this information b/c I got the run around."
