"Tim did a great job with the replacement of our water heater. Even though it was the day after Thanksgiving he moved some of his other appointments around to come to our home that afternoon. Tim and his assistant were careful to put on shoe covers in the house and to observe COVID 19 precautions. The job required more complicated plumbing since we have a desuperheater loop from our geothermal heat pump that connects to the water heater; the additional charge for this work was minimal. Tim was here until after 5:00 that evening, with the result that we had hot water over the weekend."

"Called to have light switches replaced and new lighting fixture installed. Found out the switches were still good and the old lighting fixture's ballast was bad. He removed the old fixture only to find out there weren't any braces for attaching the new fixture. So, he made one. This offset the fixture and left a gap so, I had to buy a medallion and spray paint it. The put the project off for two weeks (due to my schedule not theirs). I couldn't be happier with the results. Mike was very  professional and respectful. Everyone should have (if they can't do it themselves) an electrician, plumber and general fix it guy they can trust. Just found my electrician. Wish I could show a picture of it....it looks fabulous!

"Pryor Electric did extensive re-wiring work in our home from the electrical panel to the fixtures and receptacles. Over the course of the week, the team was very professional - always on time, organized and on schedule. Each day, everything was cleaned up and back in its place and someone reviewed the day's progress and the next steps. Every piece of work, large to small, is quality. From Mr. Pryor's visit for the estimate through the last double-check, they were all patient with my questions and any 'challenges' that the house may have presented. I have great peace of my mind after the work they've done. Highly, highly recommend this team!"

"We had been searching for a good handyman to do several home projects for quite some time. Someone we could trust and also dependable, honest, do quality work and do the work at a fair and reasonable price. We checked Angi and received two responses to our search. We chose Budget Boys. We started with one project and added other projects given the excellent job done on the first project. Our family was pleased and extremely satisfied with all of the work done by Budget Boys. We give Budget Boys a five-star rating and would highly recommend them to family, friends and neighbors. We appreciate what Budget Boys did for our family. May God continue to abundantly bless this business. S. Harris"

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.

Local electricians with experience in your area understand the local building codes, which is very important when doing new electrical work. They also have experience with the kind of electrical problems homes in your location may have, and even the components that were used in the original construction, which leads them to make faster and better decisions.

Having a Level 2 charger can increase your home value, especially as electric vehicles become more popular. Homebuyers who have EVs or are interested in getting one will appreciate the convenience of a ready-to-use charging station. The added value can vary based on location and buyer preferences.

Hire an electrician the same way you would an employee. Ask questions and look for a good fit. Streamline the process by using these questions to ask an electrician. It's also common to ask for a quote in writing. Don’t forget to provide all the project details to ensure there are no surprises or opportunities for added fees.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.
