"We had some issues with our crawlspace. Critters had found their way in and pulled down about half of the insulation and made a mess in the crawlspace. The installer I believe was Joe, he pulled all the old insulation out as well as the old vapor barrier. He installed the new vapor barrier as well as new insulation. When he was finished he removed and cleaned up all the old insulation and vapor barrier. From the outside of the house you couldn't tell anything was done. I am very impressed with this company and high recommend their services."

"Did not do work, but pricing was competitive with everyone else.  Invoice got lost in junk e-mail, so did not think I ever received invoice, but I found it a month or so after job was completed again.  If\when I have another job will call All Foam and make sure Invoice doesn't get lost in junk e-mail!

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Not necessarily. A higher R-value simply means that the insulation has a higher heat resistance and performs better in terms of how much heat passes through the material. This can be better for some homes, or it can be too high of an R-value for other homes. Again, your climate zone determines whether the insulation is better for your home.

Yes, guiding choices between open-cell and closed-cell foams based on needs.

Spray foam insulation can last between 80 and 100 years, depending on the type. Closed-cell spray foam is more durable, while open-cell foam is more susceptible to moisture damage and deterioration. It's important to consult a professional installer to understand which type of foam will be used and its specific longevity. Additionally, be aware that some spray foams can damage plastic piping, so if you have PVC or CPVC pipes, discuss this with your installer.

There are many ways to keep your house cool without central air. In fact, ductless mini-split AC systems are a solid alternative to central AC for situations when you can’t install ducts in your home. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly cooling solution, consider using window AC units or portable air conditioners.

Exposed ductwork can sweat just like ductwork placed behind walls, sometimes even more so. Ductwork sweats—like a cold drink on a hot day—because of a temperature imbalance between the air in the duct and the air in the room. In a crawl space or wall, this temperature can equalize faster due to the small space but in lofts and open rooms, that wouldn’t happen as quickly. Many people insulate their ducts for this reason.
