Jucobe and Ashley provide excellent quality service, reasonable prices, work very hard and are professional and friendly. Within the past three years, we have hired them twice. The first time was to replace the end of our driveway and the drainage pipe since we live on a busy road. I highly recommend James Pollard construction. This type of work is physically very hard and when I had it done the temperature was high. The clean up afterward could have been a bit better."

"We had SouthPoint out for an evaluation of the roof after a home inspector had found a "small leak" in the roof. Seems SouthPoint misjudged by just "a hair." After a general contractor pointed out what they had missed it was obvious the gentleman from SouthPoint knew little about roofing. This was verified when they started to repair the "small leak." There was no flashing, just decorative trim that had been placed by Carolina Signature Homes, when the house was built in 2007. The headers were rotted out and one has to be totally replaced. This was a major design flaw. The man from SouthPoint was given free reign to evaluate the roof, both from the inside and the outside of the home. We weren't interested in just fixing the leak. We were about to close on the house and wanted the best roof we could get. They even said the gutters need cleaning. We had to have them come back again to even do that correctly. The owner would not stand behind his bid. He said the added damage was "outside the scope of the bid." It would never have been "outside the scope" of their work if the estimator knew what he was doing. As someone new to the community I was hesitant to post such a negative review but this is negligence and if I can spare one person from hiring this company then it is worth it."

Mudjacking can take 24 to 72 hours to cure enough to resume normal use. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to fully harden to ensure that added weight won’t shift the concrete slab before it has completely set. Your concrete contractor will be able to tell you when you’re free to use your concrete surfaces again after mudjacking.

Address drainage issues, avoid heavy loads, and seal cracks to prevent future settling.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Cracking, spalling, and uneven surfaces often need attention.

It’s possible to rent the equipment necessary to do your own mudjacking, but we don’t recommend it. Mudjacking involves pumping a precise amount of cementitious slurry under your slab to lift it back into place and keep it there. It’s easy to pump too much or not enough, in which case you may need to call in a professional to help anyway. We strongly recommend against mudjacking any load-bearing slab, as you could easily cause irreversible structural damage to your property if you make a mistake.
