One of the best and most known company's in the area, in service in Greenville SC since 1995. We strive to be as proffessional as possible to provide our clients with the best results.

"Absolutely criminal…he charged us a large amount of money to replace a deck, and over the course of 4 weeks his crew deconstructed and then tried to reconstruct our deck THREE times, each time failing to do it correctly. He used mismatched materials and his crew has obviously never built a deck before, though he claimed they had built “more than 30”. Stay away at all costs! Now we are having to hire a professional company to completely start over from scratch with all new material, and the project is costing us almost triple what it should have."

FloorGurus are a full service Shop @ Home, factory direct floorcoverings and installation company that helps customers get a beautiful new floor in the convenience of their own home. We are also a installer owned company which means we service all of are own products without the need to sub contract our work . It's easy for us to give our customers a great job with big savings because we have the relationships that matter and the experience that counts.

"I’ve had nothing but problems with my floor since the beginning. When they first installed it, they laid the wrong flooring in one section, which they later came back to correct. About six months in, the floor started buckling, and when they returned to fix it, they cut the tongues off the flooring and glued it down. Now, three months later, all of the thresholds are coming loose, the transitions to the carpet in the other rooms are exposing sharp carpet tacks, and my floors are buckling, missing chunks, and peaking! My floor is only about a year old, and this should not be happening. I’ve spent $9,000 on this floor, and now I’m being given the runaround about getting it fixed. They’re telling me to wait for the “manufacturer” to assess the issue, but I strongly believe the problem lies with the installation. Their customer service has been terrible, and at this point, I want an entirely new floor."

"Very responsive to come out ainitially and access damage and get fixed as all was paid for by insurance. They also agreed to installing a skylight where the tree came thru (there was not a skylight before). It was installed well and has never leaked. That's all the good news I have folks. HOWEVER we had 'total replacement to original status' insurance coverage and first go around all they were going to do was patch damaged areas of roof. matching tiles "as best they can". After much bickering back and forth, they finally replaced entire roof. 3 times. yes, three times as the first 2 times work was substandard- and eaked. They did not overlap roof tiles and did not flash properly. When insurance overseer finally agreed to redo entire roof to "original" with a 30 year guarantee, she was subsequently fired by the insurance company after the job was done. Inside the house, the subcontractor they hired to fix our wall and ceiling was horrendous. "Johnny" from Mississippi put up a wall that was not linear -nit bowed. He said our house was crooked and he could not fix that. There was a good 2 feet crawl space between inside wall and outside house. We insisted he redo it (multiple times.) till he got it straight, finally, He said "the wife" was being too fussy. Then he replaced smooth ceiling with a popcorn ceiling because he said he couldn't fix the drywall plaster lines...now we have the task of taking off the popcorn, replacing the drywall ceiling, and replastering correctly. . We grew weary of him and decided not to have him redo. As for coming "on time", well, we learned that "on time" is a relative term...seems to mean just showing up sometime in the morning. Bottom line: Don't let your insurance company bully you into using this company and certainly do NOT hire them on your own."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpets should always be replaced after smoke damage. Particulates and chemicals can penetrate the carpet into the carpet padding, and it can be difficult to fully remove all traces of smoke or fire damage. If water is used to put out the fire, it can soak through the carpet, leading to mold growth and other issues. It’s best to be safe and replace your carpets after a fire.

The first step in budgeting for carpet is to determine the amount of carpet you need and the type of carpet you want. You might be tempted to opt for the least expensive option if you have a limited budget, but a low-quality carpet won’t last as long as a high-quality one. When accounting for future carpet repair costs, it makes sense to buy the best-quality carpet you can afford.

No, it isn’t less expensive to install carpet compared to vinyl floors. The cost of installing carpet can range between $3 and $11 per square foot, so it falls just over the cost of installing vinyl flooring, at an average of $3 to $7 per square foot. High-quality carpeting can also range much higher, even up to $20 per square foot.

DIY carpet installation can be challenging, requiring precise measurement and cutting skills. Missteps can lead to uneven surfaces or premature wear, so thorough preparation and knowledge of proper techniques are essential.

While it's possible to cover asbestos tile with carpet, it's not recommended. Encapsulating tile beneath carpet doesn't eliminate the health risks. Over time, the asbestos tiles could degrade, releasing fibers into the air and potentially contaminating the carpet. Disturbance during carpet installation or removal might also release fibers.
