"Not one asphalt companies ever contacted me and just one company came out to measure and forgot about me thereafter. But as to KE sealcoating, they came out when they said they would and have me a start date and did above what I had expected. Their price was exactly on budget. I was immensely impressed with their professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone. Top notch company. I’ve now had 2 projects from angys list that proved to be invaluable."

"Jake and his crew showed up exactly when promised, they were very professional and respectful of our property. He was honest and upfront of the cost of our project, he listened carefully to what my wife was asking for in the way she wanted our driveway layout and him and his crew didn’t miss any details. I would recommend him and his crew to anyone looking for asphalt work."

"Mr. Champion was prompt in contacting me, he scheduled an appointment within a few days and showed up on time. After receiving a reasonable quote, he advised he would contact me to set a schedule. Not only did he keep me well informed of any schedule changes, when he was able to do the job, he was prompt and did a great job. He even came back later that day to check on the job."

"He answered my call right away. He worked around my very busy schedule. They installed Millings in my parking and walk ways and front culvert along the road for weed control! The crew was very polite and went above and beyond. I had a hard project that had lots of fences to work around and objects , and he did a great job getting everything packed in and was very reasonable with the price."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

Oil-based sealers generally offer longer results for driveways in cold climates. If you experience extreme temperatures, oil sealants offer a level of flexibility that makes them expand and contract along with the freeze-thaw cycle instead of cracking.

Sealcoating is worth the investment because it protects your driveway from damage, extending its life and the timeframe in which you need to replace it. Sealcoating costs around $500 on average, while replacing a driveway costs about $5,000. Sealcoating delays the need for replacement and it also helps keep your driveway looking newer for longer. As an added bonus, sealcoating can boost your property value and curb appeal, making it worth the sealing cost once every five years.

Sealant comes in 5-gallon buckets that can cover up to 400 square feet. Measure your driveway to get the exact square footage, and remember to factor in enough sealant for two coats.

Common issues that require asphalt repair include cracking, potholes, surface crumbling, fading, uneven surfaces, weather-induced damage, and drainage problems. Regular maintenance is crucial for maintaining safety and aesthetics and can prevent more significant damage.

The best ways to increase the lifespan of your driveway are to carry out proper maintenance and get repairs done quickly. First, reseal your driveway every one to three years to protect it from the elements. If you start to notice significant cracks, hire a professional to diagnose the problem before it gets more serious. You can also use sand instead of salt when de-icing your driveway (since salt is corrosive) and clean your driveway annually using a pressure washer to keep it in tip-top shape.
