Customers say: Quality work

"From the first call I made I was so impressed. Mr. Craig continually kept me informed as to the day when they would come - when a previous job ran longer than they planned he called to keep me posted and let me know he would be there a day later - then called the night before to confirm again and arrived at the time promised. They did an excellent job - other than missing a very large dead tree on my front yard, you would never know they had been there as every bit of the tree, branches, etc. was removed. He also is an arborist so was able to answer my questions and give me advice about a replacement tree. Can't recommend him highly enough"

"Jireh Tree Service did an amazing job removing over a dozen huge Leyland Cypress trees from my yard. They did what seemed like mission impossible within a few hours including grinding the stumps and removing all the trees and debris from our yard. Our neighbors were shocked the next morning to see our trees all gone as if they were never there. I would highly recommend Jireh Tree Service. They are true professionals and their pricing was very reasonable."

"Utterly satisfied with the professionalism in communication and expert service. Not only did they cut down three trees and prune two more, they ground the stumps and thoroughly cleaned up and hauled everything away at a price lower than it cost me for one tree from another company I went with before. I was so impressed I had them complete work at my mother’s home that had damaged trees hanging over her house from Hurricane Helene. I will definitely be calling them back in the future. If you want an awesome job at a more than reasonable price you can’t find anyone better."

Customers say: True professional

"They did an excellent job. We were impressed with their robot the one that did the tree stumping it was very interesting. I've never seen one before that is why I was very impressed. They also took all the branches and grinded them up on the spot. Also cleaned up after themselves that is why we appreciate that so much."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.

It is good to spray water on a Christmas tree to help keep the needles hydrated. Spraying a Christmas tree with water prevents dryness, stops needles from falling off, and reduces the risk of fire.

Palm tree stumps can take as long as seven to ten years to rot naturally. Whereas some tree stumps rot within a year, palm trees tend to last longer due to their deep root networks. Chemical rotting (described above) can help speed the process up so your palm tree stumps rot in under two months.

Large, established tree branches won’t grow roots, but if you find a young tree branch that’s less than about a year old, you’ve got a shot. Put it in water or soil as soon as possible for best results. You’ll know the branch is viable if it’s about the thickness of a pencil and has some leaves or needles.

Dutch elm disease can’t harm humans. In fact, according to Cal Fire, bark beetles aren’t even typically dangerous to trees unless that tree is already weakened. The problem comes when Dutch elm disease kills a tree. That tree is more at risk of falling and catching fire, which can pose a serious threat.
