Customers say: Quality work

"From the first call I made I was so impressed. Mr. Craig continually kept me informed as to the day when they would come - when a previous job ran longer than they planned he called to keep me posted and let me know he would be there a day later - then called the night before to confirm again and arrived at the time promised. They did an excellent job - other than missing a very large dead tree on my front yard, you would never know they had been there as every bit of the tree, branches, etc. was removed. He also is an arborist so was able to answer my questions and give me advice about a replacement tree. Can't recommend him highly enough"

Customers say: Quick response

"I contacted three different tree services to quote my job. The first never showed up, the second showed up three-sheets into the wind and then there was Patrica with AAA Union Tree Service. Within thirty minutes of placing my request on Angi, she sent me a text asking if she could come quote the job. Before the day was out, I had a written quote in my hand. Patricia was in the middle of a big apartment job but kept me abreast by text when they should be able to start. Her crew did a wonderful job and her associate Brenda was also very helpful in advising on how to update the exterior of the home and even brought out a beautiful shrub to show me. I can't say enough how please I am with the results of their work. I also received additional quotes before they left as I plan on making AAA Union Tree Service my go-to for all my landscaping needs! They were wonderful!"

"The service was excellent from the first meeting, estimate, explaining the process, to completion. I loved the professionalism of this company so much that I am getting an estimate for hard wood floors. This company is worth every dime and then some. I highly recommend their services and I am very particular about my home and how the company first presents themselves... The first presentation relaxed me. I felt like I was not being ripped off. The owner is knowledgeable about his craft, took his time, and talked to me about what to expect from his company. Thanks guys I look forward to working with you again."

Customers say: True professional

"They did an excellent job. We were impressed with their robot the one that did the tree stumping it was very interesting. I've never seen one before that is why I was very impressed. They also took all the branches and grinded them up on the spot. Also cleaned up after themselves that is why we appreciate that so much."

"Highly recommend this guy. He cut down about 8 big pines that were over my house. He is very professional and did a great job. If you want a professional guy that gets the job done I recommend E & C Land Management LLC."

"It had been blown over and was hung up on some other trees. It was threatening my neighbor's fence, parking area, and possibly his house. Stallion dropped it safely on Saturday, then returned on Monday to remove three other trees and clean up a brush pile and a previously fallen tree. Everything was done as agreed. The only problem was that it took two calls to get someone to call me back."

"They were wonderful and worked together. Very intelligent in their job. When they went to leave they said they will come back to correct it or do what else is needed. Very happy with the service. They did not have to come back cause they did the job perfect."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best way is to start controlling tree height long before it grows too large, via careful pruning through the years. But that’s not always possible. If a tree has become too high or too large, use selective pruning to remove the most troublesome branches, one by one, without topping the tree. Gently shaping a tree like this can, over time, correct problems. You can also find growth inhibitors to spray on a tree to stop it from growing too rapidly, but use these sparingly if at all.

While there is a lot of debate about whether boiling water is strong enough to kill tree roots, it is not best to remove the roots from large, old trees. You may be able to weaken young roots enough to remove them manually, but boiling water will likely not do the trick for large root systems.

The ideal depth of a tree notch depends on the tree, but it should usually be between 20% and 25% of the tree’s depth. However, if the tree is leaning towards the direction of the notch, it can be cut more shallowly—at as little as 10% of the depth. When the tree is leaning away from the direction it needs to be felled, you can cut deeper, closer to 30%.

Most tree removals take 3-8 hours, requiring additional time for stump grinding or debris hauling.

The depth of tree roots depends on the species. Trees like oaks and maples can have root systems that grow down 20 feet or more. However, trees that grow in shallow soils will have roots that go only a few feet down. Research how your tree species grows in your climate area to estimate root depth.
