Customers say: Quality work

"From the first call I made I was so impressed. Mr. Craig continually kept me informed as to the day when they would come - when a previous job ran longer than they planned he called to keep me posted and let me know he would be there a day later - then called the night before to confirm again and arrived at the time promised. They did an excellent job - other than missing a very large dead tree on my front yard, you would never know they had been there as every bit of the tree, branches, etc. was removed. He also is an arborist so was able to answer my questions and give me advice about a replacement tree. Can't recommend him highly enough"

"I called 5 different tree services. This was the both the lowest bid and incredibly fast. I spoke with them yesterday around noon when he made an onsite estimate,I agreed to hire them. By 1pm today the stump was done. I am so impressed by this Company! Please give them your project, you will be glad you did."

"Contracted JB Tree Removal Service after a recent storm to remove multiple fallen trees, trim branches, and clear yard debris. Pricing was fair, the work was completed promptly and professionally, and the crew left the property clean and orderly."

"Jireh Tree Service did an amazing job removing over a dozen huge Leyland Cypress trees from my yard. They did what seemed like mission impossible within a few hours including grinding the stumps and removing all the trees and debris from our yard. Our neighbors were shocked the next morning to see our trees all gone as if they were never there. I would highly recommend Jireh Tree Service. They are true professionals and their pricing was very reasonable."

"I highly recommend Stallion Tree Professionals to provide excellent service. We had two large palm trees removed, due to hurricane Ian. Their cost was very reasonable. Workers were outstanding and went above and beyond. I would definitely hire again."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The safest way to cut down a tree is to make sure you’re completely prepared and have done all the necessary safety checks, including double-checking your equipment is in good working order, you have plenty of clearance to fell the tree, you’re wearing all the safety gear, and you have a partner to help you (who should also be wearing safety gear).

For Bradford pears, damage from storms is common, and if the trunk splits, it can pose a danger to people and surrounding structures. The best thing to do in that instance is to have the tree removed. If there’s only minor damage to the branches, pruning away the damaged parts is the first order of business. You may also want to consult a professional arborist to make sure the tree is healthy.

A few signs a tree may be dead is if the leaves are dead and there are no signs of new blooms. You can also perform a scratch test on some of the branches to check the condition of the cambium layer beneath the bark.

If it is green, it is still alive, but if several are dry, brittle, and brown, the tree may be dying or dead. Always consult an arborist before assuming your tree is dead because you may be able to save it.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.

Maple trees start the growing season by developing small groups of red flowers where the tree's fruit, the samaras, will appear in the coming weeks. Later in spring, the samaras, which many call whirlybirds or similar names, develop into single-winged seed carriers that spin when falling or drifting in the wind.
