"Matt and Lyle were both very professional with communication and followup! Very knowledgable about rodent problems and then thorough with figuring out the problem, how to fix it and following up to make sure it was done right. No more mice and rats in our crawlspace! "Mr. Wade Godfrey the technician came bye our residences to inspect our house to see if we needed a pest management plan. As a homeowner I usually do prevention measures in the spring time. The technician was very professional and courtesy. He arrived on time and as scheduled. He actually just shared some ideas with me, and after performing his inspection didn't really feel like I had a pest problem. He share some information about his company and some promotion deals. He was on-site for approximately 30 minutes and offered his services if I felt that they would be needed at a later date. I've decided not to use the company at this time, but I would definitely use them if I need a professional pest management team in the future."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Yes, bats can cause quite a bit of damage to the attic. Their weight and movement from flying around can damage insulation, and they can chew through wiring and the walls. As if this isn’t enough, they leave their droppings throughout, which carry harmful bacteria and is dangerous for humans to breathe in, not to mention the extremely foul-smelling odor.

A rat nest often looks like a messy, loosely formed pile hidden in a quiet spot. It may appear as a ball-shaped cluster or just a scattered heap made from shredded paper, fabric, insulation, leaves, twigs, and other soft materials. Rats gather whatever they can find nearby to build their nests, often tucking them away in walls, attics, or behind appliances for warmth and safety.

If you suddenly have an infestation of gnats in your house, don’t worry, it’s relatively easy to spot the cause and resolve it quickly. Gnats are drawn to moisture and decaying organic matter, so they love to snack on unsealed produce, flowers, plants, and food or liquid spills. A common spot to find gnats is inside your kitchen sink drain because it provides a hospitable environment for them to live and breed.

No, mothballs do not keep bats away. Not only are mothballs completely ineffective when repelling or removing bats, but using them could be illegal, depending on where you live. Remember, bats are federally protected, and it's illegal to use chemicals during the removal process, and mothballs tend to fall into this category.

Ticks love to hide in long grass, mulch beds, leaf piles, and wooded areas, so minimizing these things in your yard can help stop them from making a home there. If you live in an area with lots of wildlife, it's also helpful to put up a fence so that deer and other animals don't bring ticks into your yard.
