Thanks to the home inspector, we now found out that the old damper should have been REMOVED when the new one was installed.28 years ago. Leaving it in place affected the "draw" of air up the chimney, meaning the function and safety of the fireplace was compromised. Steve was terrific; he responded to our call quickly, surveyed the situation and agreed with the inspector's recommendations. He removed the offending damper during his first visit and returned a few days later with a new, and more efficient, roof time damper. we were relieved that this "sticking point" in the sale of our house was taken care of by Steve immediately and at a fair price. We found him technically sound, personable and reliable and would recommend him to family and friends for any fireplace or chimney maintenance.

Very knowledgeable about his specialty and explains everything in a way you can follow. He came on the afternoon I phoned, surveyed the situation, and explained his remediation plan with a simple drawing. We agreed on his plan, including the location of the vent pipe, the total cost and scheduled the job for a couple of weeks later. He arrived promptly on that day and by midday everything was completed. Peter's work was neat and clean with all settlement cracks in the floor sealed, as well as all edges around the perimeter of the floor. The vent pipe was installed unobtrusively in a corner of the basement (inside) and next to a downspout (outside), very discrete. The fan is installed within the outside pipe and no noise is discernible either inside or outside the house. Two days after Peter's work was done, we tested the radon again and it came back from an independent lab at .7% picocuries, well below the usual 4.0% standard. Peter guarantees acceptable radon results for 5 years, including the fan itself; that warranty is also transferable to the new owners. All in all, I was extremely pleased with Radone Gone. Good workmanship, fair price, reliable and guaranteed work. I would recommend Peter to anyone without hesitation! The technician, Michael (#215) arrived on time and after surveying and measuring the area, provided an actual cost for the job. After applying a 25% discount I was more than pleased. We have a large dog and even though we try to keep her clean, she leaves a trail of hair, oil and dander wherever she goes. This builds up over time was evident mostly in traffic areas. The technician had excellent equipment and, using all green (natural) cleaners, spot removers and stain prevention, had the entire carpet looking like new in no time. We took the Gold Package, which includes a pre-stain remover, a final spray to keep the carpet from staining as quickly ( similar to ScothGuard, but greener) and a return visit to clean up any spots that may return. Michael provided us with a bottle of spot remover for small spills. He was very professional, clearly knew what he was doing and did not leave until we were 150% satisfied.

Nate is incredibly nice and his pricing is reasonable. He is knowledgeable about every part of the project, and his crew works like a well oiled machine. After a nearby tornado, I lost a 60 year old pecan tree and a 20ft tall dogwood. My yard was virtually inaccessible, Nate fit me into his...
Manager at Price Pest arrived on time, thoroughly surveyed the scope of my problem and was completely honest with me that his company would not be able to help me, because they would be doing the same job as I was doing due to statewide constraints on blanket spraying. I appreciate his...

FAQs for land surveying projects in Little River, SC
Land surveying can help give clear guidance on your property boundaries for numerous situations. And in some cases, having your land surveyed is a requirement. Some common reasons to have your land surveyed include:
Planning for construction projects, like building a fence
Locating utilities, such as plumbing fixtures
Settling property line disputes
Creating subdivisions
Meeting mortgage requirements
Selling your property
Land surveying costs about $530 for the average homeowner. However, your total cost could range anywhere from $200 to $1,000 or more. Factors like the size of your property play a significant role in what you pay, but other things like the survey type and the time of year can also impact the final cost.
For example, if you’re looking for a simple boundary survey, you can expect to pay between $100 and $600. However, if you want a more in-depth survey that depicts the elevations of your hills and trees, you can expect to pay between $500 and $1,200 for a topographic survey.
A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:
Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.
Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.
Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.
Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.
Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.
Land survey reports provide a lot of helpful information about your property and land. The exact information provided depends on the type of survey you have done, but common information that they can provide includes:
Location of utility fixtures
Clear boundaries and dimensions of your property
General topography
Land elevation information
Confirmation of easements or encroachments
Land surveys don’t technically expire. They do serve as a point of reference and a snapshot of your property, though, so as soon as you make changes to your property (and even if your neighbor makes certain changes to theirs), your existing land survey becomes inaccurate, and a new one must be done. Even if you don’t make any changes to your property, many states only guarantee the accuracy of a land survey for five to ten years.
