"Landmark Uses Disreputable Contractors ? AZA Repair & Brenovations HVAC Are the Worst Landmark sent AZA Repair for my refrigerator, and they left it worse than before?still not working, scorch marks from a blowtorch, copper lines sticking out, tools and oil left behind, and no receipt. Then Landmark sent Brenovations HVAC for an AC motor replacement, and that turned into exposed wires, bolts hitting fan blades, missing parts, and complete disregard for safety near my kids? play area. Both companies were unprofessional, negligent, and refused accountability. Landmark?s use of these contractors makes me seriously question the value of having a home warranty at all."

"They overcharged my card for services I did not receive multiple times and when I called to talk to them about this, the woman was very rude and would not allow me to speak and talk over me, and told me they do not have to notify, that they can charge up to 500 more on my debit card without notifying me, and if I did not like that, get another service. He also said that all the other services have waiting lists so I better think about my answer."

"Whatever you do, do not use Barrier Reef!!! They are a terrible company to work with. Someone in our neighborhood had their pool installed crooked and unlevel. It had to be completely taken out and the cement had to be redone. It was still unlevel so it had to be done a third time. They put in our pool crooked even though we stated clearly at the beginning that we heard that had trouble putting in crooked pools. They assured us that all precautions would be made to make sure it would be level. They did not do this and did not recheck it. The cement was poured and the pool was unlevel. They then treated us like we had done something wrong and stopped communicating with us. Multiple phone calls were made. No one seems to know what the other one is doing. Multiple times it was blamed that we were far away from them. If that was a problem they should have never taken our money. After several months, they finally came back. (all the trash was left in our yard for 4 months, we were unable to use the pool all that time as they did not finish). We were then told the only way to level the pool was to take it out and redo the cement. As it had now been 11 months since we started, that idea was not appealing. We did not want money. We wanted a level pool. But since we were not going to get a level pool we came to a financial agreement. After paying greater than $150 per month in water bills for 8 months (this is our first pool and did not realize it was not supposed to need that much water), and now the salt cell ($1000) already needs to be replaced. This was because in addition to putting in a crooked pool, they did not properly install the pumps so that it has been leaking the whole time. When I asked them to come take a look, they refused saying I already agreed to a settlement. I did not realize the agreement would preclude looking at further incompetence of them putting in the pool. I would not wish my worst enemy to use this company. Run, do not even think about using this company for anything. Every aspect of their customer care is a 0 which I would have given them except 1 is the lowest rating I can give. This is the most dishonest company I have ever encountered."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Most hot tubs will experience leaks due to wear and tear in the plumbing or the shell itself. The second most common issue is a heater malfunction due to the ongoing heat stress on moving parts. Finally, clogs happen in hot tub jets, especially when it’s time to change the filter.

Whether you can repair a hot tub depends on the severity of the problem and the location. With the right tools and knowledge, you can fix problems like small leaks or switching out a dirty filter. However, electrical and plumbing issues require a licensed professional due to the inherent risk, particularly when mixing water with electricity.

You should drain your hot tub three to four times a year to give it a thorough cleaning. This should take about an hour, but it depends on the size of your tub.

Unfortunately, a hot tub does use a relatively large amount of electricity. In fact, much of the money you spend on your hot tub will go toward electricity costs to keep the water heated. A typical hot tub will use anywhere from 1,500 to 6,000 watts of electricity per month.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.
