We had checked pricing and reviews on a number of brands. Sundance was what we decided on. I checked
dealerships in the area and All About Pools and Spas, LLC came up. We met with the owners Billy and Alessia
Colquitt to discuss the purchase of a new spa. The price they quoted us, for the Sundance model we wanted, was
extremely reasonable.
Billy set up a time the following week for the installation, which included the electrical hook-up. The installation was
completed in two days, including a hydraulic cover for ease-of-lifting. The whole installation was done in a professional manner!
The spa had a couple of problems, one of which was the stereo went out after a month. I called Billy, he in turn called the
manufacturer and a new stereo was sent out and Billy installed it within a week. We've had the Sundance Spa for five months now
with no problems. If my wife or I have any questions, we either call or stop in to the store for the answer. The staff (Katie) is
extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
We are so pleased with the job that was done for us, we have contracted All About Pools and Spas, LLC to install a well point and a new pool liner in our in-ground pool this spring!
"Thank you for this very encouraging feedback, [MEMBER NAME REMOVED]. We're so glad you were impressed with our services. If you need anything from us moving forward, we're just a phone call away! Be well, Bill, Owner"
The pool was ordered on May 21, 2012. Deposit was made for $3,700.00. The material for the pool was delivered on June 26,2012. They started digging the pool on Friday P.M. (June 29) They would work only about 4 hours a day. I was told that the pool should be finished for a July 4 party when I signed the contract in May. The week of July 4, they worked on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday was July 4. If the company had worked regular 8 hour on these days, the pool would had been finished. On July 9, the pool was ready for inspection. The rest of the week, it rain in the afternoon real hard and messed up what they had done. They had to put a pump in the pool to get the muddy water out. No one came out to check the pool or the pump and the pump burned up. I stopped by the store on July 11 to talk to Billy about the slow work. He explained that work is done instages. I understand that, but some things could have been done in one whole day instead of 2 half days. They had two week of dry weather and could not finish my pool. It is now July 23 and it is still not finished. The liner was not in when it rained. Now the liner is in, the fresh water is in the liner but we cannot circulate the water because they have not finished the electric work. They say that it will be two weeks before the cement can be done. The men that were doing the physical work were doing all that they could do, but BillyColquitt would not let them stay with the job long enough to finish in a reasonable amount of time. If I could do this over again, I would make sure I Had a schedule of what they plan to do. I would not sign a contract that I would pay such a large amount until more work was completed. The price of my pool is $18,500.00. I have paid $14,800.00 so far. I am suppose to $3,200.00 when the water is in the pool. I don't know if I can trust them with any more of my money. I really donand quot; know what to do at this point.
"During the customer's initial visit to the store with his wife and son, Alessia Colquitt, one of the owners went over all of the basics with them on what they were looking into getting. At some point in the conversation she specifically remembers informing him that a building permit would be needed for the pool and that for aboveground pools, it is not covered in the price of the pool. During our summer months it becomes extremely hectic around our office between the service work/ installations to be done and the retail in the store itself. When openings arrive in our schedule, we try to fill them the most efficient way possible. The customer really wanted the pool in for his son and we assumed that filling our opening with his pool installation would have been encouraged. If it was an issue getting it in early we would have gladly stuck to the day originally planned. Grass and dirt removal/landscaping are not included with our aboveground pool installs unless there is a written agreement between the owners and customers before work begins. It is also beyond our control if our machines creating ruts, etc. We do our best to make sure nothing if grossly destroyed but only so much can be controlled when we have to drive onto the grass. There are steps to having an aboveground pool installed. First is the initial set-up of the wall and liner. After that, water must go into the pool to about the 1 foot mark to pull the liner into place. Once that level is reached, we return back to cut in the holes for the skimmer and returns. When waiting for a pool to fill we can not schedule for our guys to return at a specific time in the day. It is all according to how fast the water enters the pool and all fill times are different. When the customer was told he would have to be fit in, it was not a way of writing him off. Our scheduling for the day is done every morning with goals of completing all projects in mind. Whe n the customer was called on June 15, 2012 at 3:45pm he was informed that we were trying to fit him in that day but if our guys were too tied up they would definitely be out there the following day. He was even told what the next steps would be after the crew cut-in his liner for him. The other owner, Billy Colquitt, is CPO certified by SCDHEC. He is the only licensed contractor in Sumter and also the only pool builder, to our knowledge, licensed to apply herbicide. When he arrived at the customer's he balanced the chemicals in the pool to the best of his abilities using a test strip. He then explained to the customer that we analyze water at our store and to wait a few days and bring in a water sample to make sure everything was on track. To say that Billy was not familiar with the product is not true. Baquacil is not as widely used as chlorine, but the owners, Billy and Alessia, and the store manager, Katie are all trained in how it is to be used. Since the customer's review he has continued shopping with us and we greatly appreciate his business. His son loves visiting our store! At All About Pools and Spas we strive for excellence with our customer service and our workmanship. We feel this review was a result of misunderstanding on both parties. We do not take these type of situations lightly and have since created a check-list to allow the customer and our employees to know exactly what will be done and provided during the job to help eliminate any confusion."
"Thank You, For giving us the chance to service your spa. We are glad the guys were helpful and pleasing to you and Chief. We are sad to hear that the lady in the store was not helpful we will work on that. Thanks once again."
"We thank You for your feedback! We will try not to rut up yards in the future or at least repair them."
