Small jobs welcome

"I talked to Justin about wanting a floodlight camera above my garage door. I didn't have any pre existing wiring to use a wired one so wasn't sure what my options were. He picked out a solar panel ring light since that was going to be the cheapest and easier route than running wires to an electrical source. I'm very pleased at how it turned out. He picked up the camera the day we talked and the next day he was installing it. The installation looks very professional and secure. He also helped me finish installing my ring doorbell camera as I had lost the installation screws. Justin is defiantly my go to pro for all my future smart home projects!"

"I HIGHLY recommend PEEPLES PLUMBING & GAS. It is a family-owned business with skilled technicians. Curtis and Bobby came same morning and at exact time they said they would be there!! They resolved my flooding washing machine and overflowing kitchen sinks in 45 min. They were very professional and efficient. I am very confident in the work that they did. I have honestly never left a review for anything but this company deserves one. Use them!!!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Usually, your house panel is one of the key components that must be replaced when upgrading your amp service. In many cases, you will also need to upgrade your meter base as well as other electrical components.

You should never plug a normal 120v appliance into a special 240v outlet, as it can quickly burn out the appliance. This will cause irreparable damage to the appliance and, in worse case scenarios, cause damage to your circuit breaker. Check your appliance’s rating before plugging it into a 220v outlet to avoid electrical disaster.

Sprinkler valves typically have 16 AWG or 18 AWG wires. AWG, or American Wire Gauge, is the standard measurement for wire gauge sizing in the U.S. The gauge is the thickness of the wire, with higher AWG numbers indicating thinner wires. You can find the gauge measurement in your sprinkler system’s user manual or on the sprinkler manufacturer’s website.

According to the National Electrical Code® (NEC®), the electrical code for kitchen outlets states that electrical outlets in a kitchen should be installed no more than 48 inches apart. This ensures that a receptacle is no further away than 24 inches from any place on the countertop. Countertops wider than 12 inches need an outlet on the wall above the countertop.

If there isn’t a C-wire on your thermostat, you can repurpose the G-wire. The G-wire controls the fan independently of the other controls on your thermostat, so the fan-only function won’t work if you decide to go this route.
