"Josh helped me troubleshoot and repair various electrical circuits in my home and removed the debris from my garbage disposal, which was causing it to seize and trip the internal circuit breaker. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the home and his customer service skills are superb. All in all he was a joy to be around and helped me with all of my issues. I highly recommend him for service if you are in need of a genuine “handy man”"

Small jobs welcome

"I talked to Justin about wanting a floodlight camera above my garage door. I didn't have any pre existing wiring to use a wired one so wasn't sure what my options were. He picked out a solar panel ring light since that was going to be the cheapest and easier route than running wires to an electrical source. I'm very pleased at how it turned out. He picked up the camera the day we talked and the next day he was installing it. The installation looks very professional and secure. He also helped me finish installing my ring doorbell camera as I had lost the installation screws. Justin is defiantly my go to pro for all my future smart home projects!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

On average, the cost to run electricity to an above ground pool is about $1,000. Certain factors can increase or cut these costs. For example, a larger pool or one farther from your house may require additional trenching for wiring, bringing costs as high as $4,000. On the other hand, a standard-sized pool closer to your home may only cost $350 to hook up to electricity.

The major difference between a GFCI breaker and an AFCI breaker is that a GFCI breaker protects against fatal shocks while an AFCI breaker prevent electrical fires. A GFCI breaker senses when the electrical current to ground is overloaded and trips to prevent major accidents or injuries. AFCI breakers trip when it detects dangerous electrical arcing.

Each meter should have a serial number printed or engraved on the face of the meter. Make sure the serial number of the meter you are reading matches your account with the power company. If you live in an apartment complex, the meters are likely located all together. Yours should be labeled according to your apartment unit.

There are a few telltale signs that it’s time for a replacement. You should consider an upgrade if:

  • Your panel is over 25 years old

  • You’re adding a new electrical system

  • Your current system doesn’t offer the power you need

  • Your home is a jungle of power strips

Incandescent lights are glass bulbs with metallic filaments inside, while LEDs feature “light emitting diodes” that illuminate when they come in contact with an electrical current. You can buy either for your Christmas lights, but note that LED lights are more energy-efficient and have a longer lifespan.
