Customers say: Quality work

"We recently had an aluminum fence installed around our pool with 3 gates, and we could not be happier with the experience. The crew was professional, on time, and paid close attention to detail. The fence looks amazing, feels very sturdy, and completely elevated the look of our backyard oasis. The gates open and close perfectly, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!"

"It went great. Milher arrived promptly and began work immediately. They were phenomenal with how they deconstructed the fence and rebuilt the fence in a timely manner. They asked my input before securing the fence. They made sure all measurements were correct. What I am most impressed by was how they raised up my existing fence in areas that weren’t providing me any privacy. What surprised me more so was the fact they cleaned up, shoveled, and raked up remnants of where the fence previously stood. They were excellent. Awesome!!!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

For fencing projects in Conway, the City of Conway Code Enforcement Office requires a building permit if your fence will be over 7 feet tall. Even for shorter fences, you must comply with local zoning regulations, which set specific height and placement limits for front, side, and rear yards. Always submit a property survey and detailed fence plans with your application to ensure compliance with city requirements.

Helpful?

In Conway, homeowners often skip the property survey, leading to boundary disputes, or neglect to check for underground utilities, risking costly damage. Ignoring local zoning regulations or failing to obtain required fence permits from the City of Conway can result in fines. Choosing materials unsuited to Conway's climate, such as untreated wood, is another frequent mistake. Careful research and adherence to local rules help avoid these pitfalls.

Helpful?

Before starting a fencing project in Conway, review zoning regulations with the City of Conway Planning Department and secure any necessary fence permits. Check for homeowner association restrictions and obtain a recent property survey to confirm boundaries. Contact SC811 to locate underground utilities before digging. Careful planning and communication with local authorities help prevent costly delays and ensure your project meets all legal requirements.

Helpful?

In Conway, wood fencing is popular but requires regular sealing due to the region's humidity and occasional storms. Vinyl is a low-maintenance option that resists moisture and mildew, while aluminum is ideal for areas prone to rust. Composite fencing is durable and eco-friendly, though pricier. When selecting materials for fence installation in Conway, consider local weather patterns and soil conditions for long-term performance.

Helpful?

Fences in Conway benefit from routine cleaning with mild soap and water to prevent mildew and dirt buildup, especially after heavy rains. Wood fences should be inspected annually for rot and sealed or stained to withstand local humidity. Metal fences need regular checks for rust, particularly after storms. Prompt repairs of loose boards or posts help maintain fence integrity and comply with local property standards.
