"Choice Home Builders LLC (Mack Brazell and associates) was the general contractor for a repair job at our mother’s home in Northeast Columbia. If you want an honest, reliable and reasonable contractor – call Mack Brazell. The scope of the project was to repair a roof/siding leak; and install new wall/ceiling sheetrock and flooring where leak damage had occurred. After contacting several others, Mack is the only one who told us he COULD do it and WOULD do it! 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was superior. Throughout the project, we were impressed with Mack’s commitment to generating a top-quality product. He really cared about doing the job right! He identified the problem and worked quickly to stop a long-term roof leak right before Hurricane Florence hit SC. Repairs to the roof, ceilings and walls was perfect. "Preston of G-1 Plumbing performed the services and addressed the toilet & drain problem. He was unable to stop leak(made it worse) & submitted his recs to Choice Home for review. I was unable to understand Choice Home's response regarding the faucet leak. Their review stated faucet needed to be replaced BUT it was under "builder's warranty." I built this home in 2005. There is no "builder's warranty" now. I cancelled the proposed work order & paid out-of-pocket. A Friend, who was familiar with my builder and knows faucet components, came to my home, adjusted/cleaned the faucet cartridge and stopped the leak. The CHW tech, Preston, is conscientiuos, however, IMHO lacked the knowledge & experience to stop my leak. Home Warranty Companies, at least in my area, hire owner/operators who need the work to build their business and are NOT the most experienced/knowledgeable & are willing to work for less money. In my experience, Home Warranty Companies want the CHEAPEST resolution, not the BEST. I would recommend G-1 Plumbing for most plumbing issues."
