"Recently, I started having intermittent problems with my tankless hot-water heater. After exhausting my maintenance efforts, I researched creditable businesses via Angie’s list and discovered Hill Plumbing & Electric Inc. After a brief call to them, a technician (Jason) arrived and he intently listened as I explained the tankless hot-water heater problems and the maintenance history of the unit. Afterwards, Jason carefully explained possible causes and what actions he would be taken to diagnose the problem(s). Jason quickly discovered the problem, repaired the unit and explained what actions were taken. The repair cost was fair and reasonable; much less than I expected. Additionally, Jason provided a full unit replacement quote, as my tankless unit is 14-years old and nearing its life expectancy. "Mr. Gomez came to inspect our issue the day after I called. He appeared on time, inspected the area, took measurements, and recommended an inside French drain around three perimeters of our house--about 130 feet. He was very personable and took time to answer all of our questions. He buried one gutter downspout and tied it into the sump pump drain line extending it out an extra 40 feet from the house. We also requested he bury a 2nd downspout and extend it 50 feet from the house. A driveway drain in front of a garage door on the 4th side of the house was also added. He and his men arrived as promised and completed the job in 3 days. They prepared the area by wrapping all furniture, etc. in plastic before starting work. Concrete floors were also covered in plastic. The first day jack hammers rocked the house as they used them to chip up a foot wide channel in the concrete to make room for laying the Waterguard system. After the first day, all other work was quiet and quick. They were able to bury the drain lines outside and replace grass so that no evidence of any digging is even apparent without close inspection--amazing!!! Everything was completely cleaned up inside afterwards with no need to even vacuum. We consulted 5 companies before contracting with Uneven Floors. Not only was the system he installed comparable to what the others recommended, but was several thousand dollars cheaper. We have not had a hard rain to test the system, but water poured into the installed channel went to the sump pump so I would be highly surprised if it doesn't work as promised. As others have indicated in reviews, Mr. Gomez is very quick to respond to calls and emails. I would highly recommend this company."

"First impression was great: Tim picked up the phone right away, was available the same afternoon, called when he was on his way, and was overall very personable. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to actually want to do the work. He fixed the tub drain right away. Would barely look at the shower control issue and without even taking the front piece off to look, told me it would need to be replaced because the fixture was not a name brand. Did not tell me what would be involved, give me a quote, or express any interest in doing the work, just "Yep, that needs to be replaced. What else needs to be done?" So I showed him the toilet with a weak flush (water running into the bowl, had to hold handle down to flush completely). He tried flushing it a couple of times and told me I needed a new toilet because this one was "a piece of junk". I asked what was wrong with it and he said something vague about there probably being cracks in some unnamed part, and he'd have to take the tank off to repair it and by that time we may as well get a new toilet. Was there anything else I needed him to look at? I asked him to try to repair it and he went and got his snake (??? it was never clogged), snaked it, said it wasn't clogged and we needed a new one. I asked him what would happen if he replaced the flapper. He did and voila, it flushed without holding the handle down... A few minutes later he heard water running into the bowl again. He pulled out some other part and replaced that and like magic, that was fixed too. Before he left, I asked for a quote to replace the shower controls and he seemed reluctant to give me one. It wasn't an unreasonable number. I felt like he didn't want my business unless we wanted to remodel the whole bathroom. I'm not sure why I had to make a specific suggestion for how to fix my own toilet to get him to do it, unless he thought I was too dumb to know that it was a simple repair. I did appreciate that he charged me fairly for the work he did do. I appreciated that he was friendly and available the same day. But will I be calling him the next time I need a plumber? Sadly, no."
