"Five years ago, Love Plumbing replaced my hot water tank for around $1050. In May, the tank had rusted out and had to be replaced again. Luckily, it was still under warranty. I called Love Plumbing and they installed a new tank for about $1157. The plumber told us that the hot water tank company (AO Smith) would reimburse me for the cost of the hot water tank and he would submit that paperwork. After a month, I called Love Plumbing to ask about the status. They gave me a reference number and told me to call AO Smith, which I did. AO Smith said that Love's should have used the reference number to pick up a new hot water tank from a distributor at no cost and only charge me for installation, which is not what happened. Instead, Love Plumbing gave me a receipt that said " customer supplied tank, warranty replacement" and then submitted a claim from AO Smith in the amount of $402, which they kept instead of reimbursing to me. I promise you that my 70+ year old mother, who was home at the time of the service because I had to work, did not pick out a hot water tank for a gas home, strap it to the roof of her car, and give it to the plumber to install. He picked it up and then told her that is how they always put it on the receipt, something I doubt is true in hindsight. Clearly the $402 that they received from AO Smith should be reimbursed to me but I have called multiple times since June 7 to ask about it and have been told repeatedly that the service manager, Bobby, will call me back, which he has yet to do. Today I called to ask if Bobby actually worked there. He does! but he was out to lunch (of course). I left a voicemail and asked him to call me after 4:00 to catch me between meetings. He never called. I suspect--and had hoped--this could be resolved quickly with a company I have used in the past but now I have call my credit card company to file a complaint because I have to assume dishonesty is at the heart of the hesitancy to call me back. Obviously, I will never use them again and the people who have listened to me complain for the last week will probably not call either. Never mind the billing error, which is reason enough, they earned an "F" from me because that is terrible customer service. Final note, apparently the plumbers are also commissioned salesmen and will try to up sell you products, which happened here. Did I really need a water heater expansion tank? I don't know but I bought one because I wanted to trust the plumber who said it was now required by code and made it seem like a safety issue. Do I trust that he was telling the truth? How can I...I definitely feel cheated. I recommend steering clear."

"They appear to know how to do anything you can ask -very "Sharp". Most recently, I had them install several 30,000 lumen LED flood lights on our building about 35 feet off the ground. I have recommended them to others and received good reports. Spencer is transparent and honest in his dealings with customers. I am glad I have someone I can trust"

At Sunrise Electric, we believe that top notch service is key to any great business. Whether it's your favorite restaurant, or a professional electrician in your home, the way you are treated decides more than anything else if you will come back or not. That's why when we're in your home, you're not a customer to us, you're family. We treat others as we would like to be treated, so when it comes to value we want to give you the best bang for your buck. We strive to be YOUR trusted electrician, the one you call on from time to time, not "that electrician that took advantage of us". We guarantee all of our work for at least a year, so if anything goes wrong you can call us day or night, and we will make it right. We are reliable as the rising sun and will strive to be up front and honest every time... because if you can't trust someone to show up on time, how can you trust them to work on your home. Free Evaluations!

"While it took a couple of tries, Sunrise Electric completed the replacement and upgrading of my main service panel."

Sandlot Power is a small local Electrical contractor. We are fully licensed and insured to operate in the state of S.C. Being a smaller company allows us the advantage of providing the very best service with a friendly feel for far less than any other local electrical company. In my experience that's what really matters. Every company claims, "best service", "best technicians", "best customer service", etc. These attributes are all fine, and every company should strive for this level of service, but at the end of the day what does it matter if you're charging an arm and a leg? Sandlot Power's goal is to provide the very best services, just like every other company, but for a far better price. If you don't believe it then feel free to give me a call and find out for yourself!

Ceiling fan services FAQs

Many different types of ceiling fans are available to cool down your home.

  • Standard ceiling fans are the traditional-style fans made from plastic, wood, metal, or fiberboard.

  • Smart ceiling fans allow you to control it with your smartphone or voice commands.

  • Dual-motor ceiling fans have two motors that produce more airflow in multiple directions.

  • Energy-Star ceiling fans are similar to standard fans but can be up to 60% more energy efficient than other fans, lowering your utility bill.

  • Large ceiling fans work best in large rooms where the ceilings are between 10 and 25 feet high.

If you need to install electrical wiring for your new ceiling fan, contact a local ceiling fan installer to help with this project. If you’re not a licensed electrician, installing wiring yourself could be a code violation. Even worse, this project can be dangerous if not done correctly.

However, if you’re replacing an existing ceiling fan, and you are an experienced DIYer, you may be able to install it yourself. This option might involve purchasing a special ladder if you have a vaulted ceiling. Replacing a ceiling fan yourself can save on labor costs, but if you aren’t handy, be sure to call a pro.

Not every ceiling fan is best suited for every room type. The size of the room dictates the size of your ceiling fan. Consult a ceiling fan installer to determine the right fan for your room and reference this sizing information:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan of 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms from 75 to 175 square feet require a fan of 42 to 48 inches.

  • Rooms from 176 to 350 square feet require a fan of 52 to 56 inches.

  • Rooms over 350 square feet require a fan of larger than 60 inches.

The time it takes to install a ceiling fan depends on whether you have existing wiring. If you’re swapping out one ceiling fan for another, it’ll take one to two hours for your ceiling fan professional to make the switch. However, if your ceiling fan installer needs to install wiring or if it's a difficult installation—places like high ceilings, porches, or attics—it could take up to four hours for complete installation.

The cost to install a ceiling fan is $250 on average, ranging from $85 to $605 or more, depending on the fan type and size and if additional wiring or switches are required.

Standard fans are typically the most cost-effective, ranging from $50 to $300 to install. Complex ceiling fans like rotational fans with a dual motor are usually the most expensive to install, ranging from $200 to $1,500. It’s important to note that installing a ceiling fan in a room without existing wiring is a very complex job that could cost up to $2,000
