"I cannot say enough of how beautiful the kitchen came out. Went with a white cabinet. There was arched cabinetry that needed to be fabricated over my sink and cook top which was beautifully done. The installers Carlos and Patrick were professional, know their craft and extremely concerned of keeping our home clean during the process. They were always concerned that we were happy with what they were doing asking us during the process if it was okay with what they were doing. They work hard and stay late to get the job done. They were about as perfect as you can get when having someone coming into your home and doing work. I am so happy with my new kitchen. I have had refacing done in a former home and did not compare. This is wood and not veneer base to the cabinets so it is the old saying you get what you pay for. Thank you guys for a beautiful kitchen."

Cabinet Contractors FAQs, answered by experts

Late summer or early fall are two popular times to upgrade kitchen cabinets. With the holidays right around the corner, this gives you spillover time in case your renovation project takes longer than anticipated. Then you get to host and show off your new kitchen when company comes.

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

Installing cabinet toe kicks after installing flooring is common, as this produces a sleek, streamlined appearance along the cabinetry bases. The toe kick is a cabinetry term for the covered, recessed areas at the cabinet’s base that let you stand closer to the counter more comfortably by making room for your toes.

Before making any big plans, climb up a step ladder and closely examine the top of your cabinets. You’ll get to see what sort of clean-up work needs to be done, but you can also check for any unexpected obstacles. Sometimes this space holds electrical boxes, wiring, or even plumbing components. Those will affect plans to install a new layer of cabinets or shelves.

Some municipalities require permits for wall-mounted furniture installations, particularly when structural modifications are necessary. Always make sure to check local building codes before starting your Murphy bed installation project. Your Murphy bed installer will be familiar with local codes and handle the permitting process, ensuring your project complies with all relevant regulations.
