"Jireh Tree Service did an amazing job removing over a dozen huge Leyland Cypress trees from my yard. "From the first call I made I was so impressed. Mr. Craig continually kept me informed as to the day when they would come - when a previous job ran longer than they planned he called to keep me posted and let me know he would be there a day later - then called the night before to confirm again and arrived at the time promised. They did an excellent job - other than missing a very large dead tree on my front yard, you would never know they had been there as every bit of the tree, branches, etc. was removed. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. Generally, you’ll want to avoid pruning more than 25% of the tree’s canopy at one time. While pruning your tree is important, it’s possible to do it too often or to go too far. As we mentioned, letting decayed wood stay in your yard also invites risks to the surrounding landscaping and vegetation.
