"Jireh Tree Service did an amazing job removing over a dozen huge Leyland Cypress trees from my yard. "From the first call I made I was so impressed. Mr. Craig continually kept me informed as to the day when they would come - when a previous job ran longer than they planned he called to keep me posted and let me know he would be there a day later - then called the night before to confirm again and arrived at the time promised. They did an excellent job - other than missing a very large dead tree on my front yard, you would never know they had been there as every bit of the tree, branches, etc. was removed. It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall. 

Removing tree stumps is a dangerous and complex job that requires a high level of expertise. Many landscapers specialize in general lawn care and maintenance. But, some may have the proper licensing and qualifications needed to safely remove tree stumps. In most cases, though, landscapers will refer you to a local tree removal or stump grinding company.

You can find pruning paints and sealants for trees, but you shouldn’t use them on a topped tree. Coatings like these often inhibit the tree’s healing process. An important exception is if there are dangerous fungi nearby that the tree is particularly vulnerable to, like oaks and oak wilt. Sealing cuts can help prevent fungi from taking root.

But if you’re buying a larger tree—say one over 10 feet—prices rise, starting in the $500 to $600 range and increasing quickly from there.
