"They showed up on time with everything they needed and waited patiently for the home warranty people to approve the work. Did the job accurately, which sounds easy, but I have an older house and there were no flanges in place. Even caulked another toilet that wobbles at no additional charge. This is the second time we've had them come out and I couldn't be happier with the work."

Small jobs welcome

"It took probably two to three hours because they had to go out to get another toilet. It was just one person that did the work. The area was left very clean. Something that I liked was that he fixed one of my toilets and told me it was under warranty. I had no idea that a toilet was under warranty. They replaced what they had to and it didn’t cost me anything for it."

"I LOVE Neli. I've used them three times now. Harmond (my Neli service man) is a joy to work with and an absolute walking encyclopedia of appliance repair. Our thirty-year-old washer are dryer are running like new, at a fraction of the cost of replacing them."

"I usually don’t do reviews because I’ve been known to be to blunt but Mr Bolen asked me to so here it is. Mr Bolen is a very nice guy, and Jacob and John were very respectful to me and my family. They did a great job on my house there were a few areas I wanted done differently and was hoping would be corrected without a threshold for instance and one I know they couldn’t because the floor was higher going to the laundry room really that would be my only complaint. Like I said the workers were trustworthy and respectful and that goes a long way these days. Overall I would use them again in the future."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

A gurgling toilet usually doesn’t mean that your septic tank is full. If waste can’t drain into a full septic tank, you’ll see water and sewage backing up into your fixtures, but the air that causes gurgling is a result of poor venting. You are more likely to have a clog in your vent stack or a damaged air admittance valve.

Silicone-based caulk is known for its waterproofing qualities, so it’s the best option for any bathroom area. While it’s often more expensive, it will provide a better, longer-lasting seal than acrylic or latex caulk. Use it along the base of the toilet to prevent leaks and keep the area clean and protected.

Yes, you should screw your flange to the subfloor, including cement. The best way to get this done is to predrill holes into the concrete using a hammer drill and a ¼-inch concrete bit. Be careful when you’re ready to bolt your flange down, as you can accidentally crack it. You can avoid this issue by not installing the screws too deep. Or, you can opt for a flange with a stainless steel ring so you don’t have to worry about cracking the plastic.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.
