"I had an amazing experience with this company and I recommend their service. They got here on time, took down three tall trees, cut them into small pieces, organized them in the corner of my yard and also left my yard clean. Besides that they have a good price and they are fast."

Small jobs welcome

"This company did just what we agreed on for trimming my very large old tree. He completed the job earlier than promised, and at the quoted price, which was MUCH less than what another company had quoted me. I recommended him to a friend who has already hired Lee for another residential job in the neighborhood."

Warranties offered

"I originally hired Services & More to cut my grass. But...one thing led to another. As I also had an issue with one one my windows. The trim was rotted and water was getting into the wall causing damage, along with that, we desperately needed to replace our shingles. My husband and I wanted vinyl siding done. Adam, was very helpful with the whole process. Before I knew it everything we needed done had gotten done, and then some. What I liked most about this company was he never pushed or tried to sell us on any services. We just happened to ask. Once again, Adam took care of what we wanted to do and more, because we asked, including our garden beds. When they did the siding, they replaced ply wood in the areas that needed it, and also repaired the foundation, in certain spots. Adam also did the interior of our wall, where that window was. ALL VERY reasonable in price! Considering that they did quite a lot. They are my go to guys!! I've hired them for life! Highly recommend!!"

"All Access Arbor Care are experienced, professional arborists who removed three very large pines on a small property very near my house and pool safely with climbers by hand for a reasonable price. He notified all my neighbors about noise and equipment the day before and cleaned up the yard after removals. He also pruned a very large Oak. I am a landscape architect so I have worked with many arborists in different states for 40 years. I highly recommend Rosheed and his expert crew without reservation."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Tree roots are hearty and complex systems, so they don’t die immediately after the rest of the tree is removed. If you leave the root system in place, it takes anywhere from two to seven years for it to run out of nutrients. It is worth noting, however, that the roots stop growing and expanding after cutting down the rest of the tree.

If the roots are still alive, the dead tree will usually try to put out new shoots. That doesn’t mean the tree will survive or that the dead parts of a tree will come back to life. If parts of the tree have died and turned gray or rotten, nothing will bring them back to life and they need to be safely removed.

Your local government is usually in charge of pruning trees on public property, and the power company is responsible for trees near power lines (even if they’re on your property). Whether or not they top these trees depends on their approach to pruning. You won’t be able to do much to control this, but you can contact them to find out more about their pruning process.

Since summer is a busy time for tree companies, the cheapest time of year to remove a tree is during the winter. February and March are typically the prime time to hire a tree removal pro, and some homeowners living in colder climates can save around 20% off services. It depends on location and the company, but you can always shop around for the best deal.

You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax.
