"The contractors did a great job! The came on time, were very polite, and really listened to what we needed to have done. They removed several overgrown bushes, trimmed other bushes, and removed a VERY large stump. They spent a long time trimming a crabapple tree in the front yard and consulted us while they worked to make sure we were happy!"

"Nick and his crew did a great job. I would highly recommend to anyone that needs a tree service. They arrived when they said they would and did a great job cleaning up around my property after 6 trees were removed and stumps were ground. They even removed some other tree debris that I had on the property that I haven't been able to do anything with for years. A 5+ star rating for this company. Excellent!"

"All Access Arbor Care are experienced, professional arborists who removed three very large pines on a small property very near my house and pool safely with climbers by hand for a reasonable price. He notified all my neighbors about noise and equipment the day before and cleaned up the yard after removals. He also pruned a very large Oak. I am a landscape architect so I have worked with many arborists in different states for 40 years. I highly recommend Rosheed and his expert crew without reservation."

"From the first time I spoke to Bob on the phone I had the feeling I was in touch with the right company for the job. I had a last minute issue with our original appointment to discuss the work that I was looking to get done. Bob was more than understanding and we made a 2nd appointment. Once again, just as pleasant as the first interaction. I was pretty certain by this time his was the company I wanted to work with. Fortunately he came in with a quote right in the range of what I was receiving from some other companies. To tell the truth, I couldn't get over his honesty and how upfront he was about his concerns of the damage that my lawn could suffer. He was the ONLY person that brought this up prior to doing the job. Not to worry. He came up with the idea of hiring an crane to lift the branches and trunks right over everything. I'm telling you, NOT ONE, branch ever hit my lawn. Not as much as a daffodil was harmed. They boomed everything over to the end of my driveway and cut it up right there. They even saved a bunch of the logs and stacked them neatly in my driveway for my father-in-law to cut up later for his wood stove. Haha. It was an absolute treat to watch his crew go to work. They were just so coordinated and in sync with each other. Very professional, very well trained. My father-in-law looked at me after watching this crew for just about 15 minutes and said to me "It really looks like you picked the right company". Coming from him that spoke volumes about their work. I really can't praise them enough. If I know of ANYONE looking to have any type of tree work done in the future American Tree is who I will be recommending."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Poison oak is similar to poison ivy in that it's in the same family of plants. Poison oak is identifiable by its rounded-off leaves and hairy leaf texture. Tree-climbing varieties live primarily in western states while low-growing poison oak bushes occupy the eastern states. Treat poison oak like poison ivy to get rid of it permanently.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

Ensures complete removal and mitigates risks of underground root damage.

You can trim just one side of the tree, especially when that side is growing near something like a power line or a home. Pros will carefully trim the tree back until it is safe from that structure. While this is common, it also needs to be done with the utmost care, as pruning or trimming away at one side of the tree may make it structurally unsound. This instance is yet another where hiring a pro is wise, especially if power lines are involved.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.
