"I can't say enough about this company. This is the second time I have used them for raccoon removal. Last time they were on my roof and this time actually got in my attic and damaged my house. Both times I called they were at my house the same day. They are quick and accurate in their solution, explaining everything in detail. First problem resolved quickly, second one coming to conclusion. Each member of this team goes above and beyond, one even left his own lunch for bait. They are professionals in their knowledge and performance in their job. My house repair was done perfectly. These men show understanding and compassion for the problem you are dealing with and to me feel more like a friend. I am very grateful to these people for two jobs well done. They have the highest recommendation I could give. Thank you Vanguard."

"I needed someone to remove a yellow jacket nest from my shed. Achieve Pest s name came up on the home advisor site. I read the reviews made a request for a quote. I promptly received a phone call. They notified me when they would be there, gave me an extremely reasonable price, came when they said they would, the man was pleasant, efficient, and easy to talk to. What s there not to love? Customer service, customer service, customer service. Where can you find that today? I found it at Achieve Pest and Wildlife Solutions. I highly recommend this company."

"Encon is a great company! I had an ant problem and needed an exterminator right away. Based on good reviews, I called Encon in a panic and Debbie fit me in right away. Ryan came out to the house and talked with my husband. He explained the problem and sprayed around the foundation and inside where the ants seemed to be coming from. That night we had more ants then ever! I called in the morning and spoke to Debbie and told her what happened. She talked me off the ledge and explained how the nest was disturbed and that was normal. I was also happy with the cost. They were very reasonable. I will always call Encon for my pest control needs!"

"Sean is very good with knowledge on all types of intruders from crawling to flying and all in between. He also treats the problem with respect to the animals even though they will be evicted. He provided roof exclusion for us and advised on many other issues during his initial visit. The roof exclusion was not cheap but I know it will only need to be done this one time with Sean on the job."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Yes, badgers are aggressive mammals, which is why it’s important to safely remove them from your home or garden area as soon as possible. Keep in mind though, badgers rarely attack pets or people, but their sharp claws and even sharper teeth can make them dangerous if they feel threatened.

No, poison isn’t the best way to deal with animals in your attic. It’s unlikely to completely eradicate the problem, especially if you don’t take care of access points. Also, poisoned animals may die and decay in the attic, causing noxious odors.

Some animals may leave the attic before the poison kills them, which could lead to nearby pets or other wildlife eating the animals and becoming poisoned themselves. Ultimately, it’s better to avoid using poison and contact a professional instead.

Foxes are primarily nocturnal, meaning you’re less likely to see one strutting onto your lawn in the middle of the day. However, daytime activity is more common if you have a female with her cubs on your property during the spring and summer. And you can see adaptable urban foxes at any time when regular food is available.

Some animals, such as bats or birds, will be able to get out of chimneys on their own since they can fly. Other animals, however, may have a harder time and will require the help of a professional to escape. Squirrels and raccoons in particular may become stuck inside a chimney, especially if you have a buildup of soot or creosote inside. This can prevent them from being able to climb out, in which case you’ll need to call an animal control expert to help remove them.

Trapping is generally not recommended, as even gentle traps can become as inhumane as kill traps if a rabbit is caught and stuck for several days. Additionally, capturing one rabbit isn’t likely to prevent other rabbits from wandering your yard. If you choose this method, it's essential to use live traps designed for humane capture and release of the rabbits in a suitable, safe habitat far from your property. Be sure to set a reminder and check the trap at least twice per day.
