"Adam called me immediately and met me that same day. I hired the company and they cut my grass that same day. They used a ride on mower and my land is uneven so some areas were shorter than others. Two days later they spread 10 yards of hemlock mulch and recut some areas of my grass with push mower. They will use a push mower in the future. My yard now looks beautifully landscaped. When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.

Unfortunately, palm tree stumps are one of the most difficult types to remove due to how their roots grow. Unlike other trees, palm tree roots grow horizontally and vertically. Palm tree roots grow as deep as three feet into the ground, although soil and growing conditions could mean they go as far as 50 inches into the earth.

If you want to be able to repurpose the grass in the area where you removed a stump later, you’ll have to dig quite deep—and perhaps wide—to trim away all the roots.

Trimming your palm trees once or twice per year keeps them healthy and robust. Caring for palm trees includes cutting off brown leaves to prevent wildfires and pathway obstruction. However, you don’t want to over-trim the palm tree. Cutting too many branches off will weaken the tree and prevent future growth. And it’s essential to have a strong, healthy palm tree during hurricane season to prevent safety risks or property damage.

Peach trees don’t tend to live as long as other types of trees and crops. They tend to last only about 12 years, and you shouldn’t expect to see a full peach harvest each of those years, either. Young peach trees need a few years to get established before they produce fruit, but you should have plenty of peaches for your pies and cobblers during their mature years, around years four through eight.

Firewood tends to be cheaper during the spring and summer. When the demand for firewood is lower during these seasons, many firewood companies offer lower prices and added discounts. In addition, the supply of firewood is typically higher in these months, meaning the quality is typically higher as well.
